umm

4.1 rear end will make a huge improvement
4.2L stroker
ported and polished heads
maybe a little nitrous(75 shot)

oh i just saw youre auto
add a 3000rpm stall torque converter and shift kit to that, as well as a tranny cooler.
then to the rear gears
then the stroker and heads
then nitrous for ****s and giggles.

and it will be a pretty quick little sixer IMO

if you have 3 grand why not just sell the car and put all that as a down payment on something thats worth spending cash on?

I mean you have a 95 which is a dog already and why spend all that much to just improve a smig?

I personally vote to get a car thats at a better platform to begin with.

Just my 2 cents

if you do any work, get new head gaskets. but if i were you i would buy like a 95 or so GT 5 spd. there not much faster but that 5.0 has alot more potental. your car has it but its a good bit harder to extract it.

99 and 00s are pretty much dirt cheap right now. think about it you can find one of those years for prolly no more then 10-11 you have 3gs you sell the car prolly get another 3gs drop a 6g DP and you'd have to worry about 4gs seeing as you know how to save you can pay that loan off fast.

My insaurnce didnt go up much from my 6 to 8

What you got to lose?

I personally would wait about 6mo time cause prices on 03/04's are really gonna drop with the new 05's rolling out, and if you know you are in a good situation and not to worry about a layoff any time soon coming your way ( which is kinda hard to predict these days ) I would use the money in that regard and end up with a nice GT Upgrade, hell you might be able to get a nice moded one already on a lot somewhere slightly used!

just a thought!

3k is a nice start but it wont do everything... i would consider buying a gt if you could get enough out of your car to come close to 5-6k I know where there is a nice red 96 gt for sale for 6k.... if you want to keep your car 3k would revamp it with some nice performance mods to boot.
