well i happen to feel that false badging falls into the same category of "stupid ****" like GTRs do.

But it's not the GTR emblem from an import. That's the problem.

I wouldnt do it, but it doesnt bother me when someone else does, like, a high horsepower GT with cobra I dont care about, but a stock v6 is different.

Yeh..there's a guy here in town with like a 3 inch drop on his v6 with the cobra bumper with cobra emblems all over it...always makes me want to go pull the emblems off. I think he's gonna trade it in on a truck though lol

The only thing wrong with your philisophy, black95gt, is that SVT makes the cobra, therefore SVT puts the badges on it,since cobra = svt. However, SVT didn't touch his car, nor would they anyother GT that someone badges as a cobra. Why try to be something you are not? Why not just badge it what it is and make it FAST ENOUGH to beat the higher model car. Thats what I think

yeah, i was waiting on somebody to pull that out. we had a thread bout it a while back.

That is called a GT-R because it is a Race car. Hence the R. Ford placed that GT-R designation on that car, not somebody who bought a stock mustang and decided to call it a GT-R.

Geez! that is a scary sight. poor mustang.
I wouldn't put Cobra emblems on my car either, but to each his own.

no cause thats an actual model

For the record misbadging = rice no matter how friendly way you put it. If its not what it is out of the factory then it shouldnt be put on there

(only one that gets away wit that theory is Saleen cause I hear they take V6s and transplant them to the beauty they are)

he meant that when like a civic puts the GTR emblem from a skyline on it. Not when a GTR Skyline sports GTR emblems.

now black95gt, if the gt in question has been upgraded to "cobra" specs engine wise, then its cool to add the cobra emblem. if its just been modded and has about the same power as a cobra then no its rice. that guy just had a modded gt, nothing cobra about it whatsoever but the exterior.

I'm eve kinda iffy on that one...

SVT never touched the car, so I'm not sure that it could sport Cobra emblems. But that point is definitely much more arguable than throwing Cobra emblems in on a stock GT engine vehicle.

gimme a link to some subframes installed, i want to see where they go. maybe someone makes them for my car so i can get rid of some converti chassis flex. and i bet the subframes would own with some strut tower braces and make a really stiff car.
