got a $30 drill bit today

yeah, didn't realize how much it would cost but it's a stepped cone shape bit so I can cut a bunch of different sized holes with it. I got it to drill holes in the trunk for the battery relocation kit and figured it would come in handy for other things later on.

Yep, that's it. I didn't have the problem of worrying about stuff a couple inches from the other side of the piece of metal. It just goes through one step at a time. Biggest thing is to avoid going too deep and making too big of a hole.
