switch help!

I found this switch. I love it. I want to know if it'll work for a set of interior neons for under my seats. It's like a replacement for the power button on a computer... one site found said this switch was a "momentary switch".... here's a link to see it:
http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/fro...san&mv_pc=5963
does anyone know if it'll work? I want push button, which it is... and it's awesome... and I want the light to be on while it's running my neons, and off when it isn't, of course.... and if it works here... will it work for an amp?

- 50mA, 24V dc contact rating

that's gonna be the important part. I don't know enough to tell you if it'll work or no.

I'll wait for my neons to show up, and see how much current they draw... I'm hoping for less than 50 mA. Of course. Damn it, this sucks.... I just want that switch so badly, I almost bought it tonight, but decided to see if it'd work first. I was gonna put it on the flat surface to the right of the steering wheel. The blue glow ring would look killer from it.

would the switch itself work if the current of the neons is under that?... like would it do what a switch is supposed to do?

I can take the neons into my electricity lab, hook up 12 VDC, hook up the ammeter, and see just how much current they pull. It measures up to 2A... and it had better not take that much. He said that neon like things are more efficient... which would lead me to think they could be made to use less current... however, I'm unsure of how much. The neons I'm getting have a 620 V invertor :O... I guess they're cold cathode tubes... so we'll see

i think it will work. it looks like it has 2 prongs in the back(unless im blind). the switch goes in series with youre power wire, so when you push the button it connects both power wires to the component(neons in youre case).

so to make it easy the circuit will go

battery
12V power Wire
switch
More Wire
neons
Ground.

i dont think neons draw that much amperage. besides that switch is designed to work for 24v systems, which is more than your 12v system.

im 95% sure this will work. and get some pics, id love to have a red one on my console for my low-hi boost controller, push a button for high boost and it lights up red around, thatd be even sicker than the jet figher safety switch i have.

It's a 24v switch, your car is 12v..I'm not sure if it will carry the current for 12v or not..
