NFS Pro Street

Just picked it up for the hell of it, on Xbox 360, noticed there is an 03 GT in it.

Actually isn't a bad game, more realistic than NFS carbon and Undercover.

You can actually tune several components of the engine, drivetrain, suspension, etc. Put in the wind tunnel and tune. Pretty detailed.

Oh yeah, and nothing is better than runnin a 8.25 in the 1/4 doing a wheelie thru the first 3 gears

Re: NFS Pro Street

I had it for a little while, but didn't like it. NFS Carbon I think had an 06-07 GT on it, but of course they made it slow as hell. Nothing like in real life.

Re: NFS Pro Street

^agreed, I played undercover, its not as good, at least to me. I like being able to actually tune my cars. I do miss the full city and free roam like in carbon, but then it would just be the same game with different cars.

GT500 + Drag = domination

not a huge fan of NFS all together, forza 2 is where its at, i wish i was on the design team for (and if they make) forza 3, tons of ideas that i think would make the game pretty cool.

Haven't played too many of the forza's. I like games with plenty of muscle, not just all that tuner crap. Do they have a decent amount of american cars?

ya, i think like 5 different c5-c6 corvettes, some older corvettes, chevelle's, camaro's 69, and a 90 something, maybe more, a couple vipers, chargers, old and new, mustangs, from the old gt500 to the new gt500, 05 ish mustang along with a 99-04, a cobra r... there are others as well, stuff like focus and whatever, than you have race class version of the corvettes and stuff. they also have porches and Ferrari's of all kinds, i don't think those are considered tuner...

Nice, sounds like there is a decent selection...I'll have to try that one sometime. I really wish they put an 03/04 Cobra in a damn game!

They only had it in that cheap mustang racing game, that didn't have any modding and wasn't comparable to the forzas, nfs, or gran turismos.

The mustang only game was for ps2 and xbox. It had an 05 4.0 V6 in the game, was pretty surprised by that.

Haha, yeah f'real. Speaking of xbox and ps2, it's amazing to see how far games have come along in the last little bit. I know I spend about as much time in gamestop as I do on AM.

Re: NFS Pro Street

ya, just checked, 05 gt, 70 boss 429, 00 cobra r, an 04 race edition (tiger #10?), 00 saleen s281, than last but not least, the 68 and 07 gt500's

that covers the mustang family anyway, i wish they had a 94-98 i can't find my forza1 disk, but i think it had a 2nd gen protege on there (my other dd)

if you like sims and like american muscle or tuners, or exotics (thanks 19delta) its a pretty good game.

Re: NFS Pro Street

I didn't like Pro Street. When it came to the NFS games, I prefered the Undergrounds and Carbon style ones. More of the open world driving. Pro Street, IMO, tried to be like Gran Turismo, while trying to keep the Underground/Carbon feel, and failed at it. NFS has turned itself into the genre of open world street racing, and does not need to go back to the closed track styling. I have Gran Turismo, if I want to play that style, then I will put in Gran Turismo.

But what can I say, I have been playing the hell out of Burnout Paradise again lately.

Goldeneye was great. I remember as a kid (around 8-10) playing it with my older brother and his friends. Great times, great times. I also played a lot of mario64.

I agree with nfs becoming the open world style racing game. But i still like the selection of cars, and how you can tune them in pro street...but then I've had microsoft products for the last 8 years lol Haven't stayed up to date with the Gran Turismos/PS2-3

The next NFS game is called "shift", and follows pro street with the closed track racing, due out in September.

I like NFS Pro Street. The 1/4 mile could be a bit less exaggerated to make it more realistic, but it's a fun and challenging game, IMO.

I think the modding could be better, though.

It's a great game, I've only got two achievements left. I'm waiting right now on Guitar Hero: Metallica. If you ever get it, hit me up on live and I'll help ya out.

Oh god do I ever remember Turok. Have you played the new one for 360?

No I haven't, I saw it at Target for $15 and was tempted to get it, but then I remembered $15 in mustang terms is a shorty antenna, so I passed.
