One thing led to another and she yelled, I yelled back then all oif a sudden she said," you cant do anything right". i told her to get out of my room in a very calm voice then she left and i shut the door. Voila here i am creating this thread. Granted my parents DO like my sister more than they like me but damn thats pretty f'ing harsh isnt it?

most likely your mom is streesed out you cant blame her, raising kids isnt easy. i doubt your parents like your sister more, is she younger? parents tend to give the youngest child the most attention, and to u it seems like they do that because they like her more, but most of the time thats not the case. i remember when i was your age, and i would always fight with my lil sis just because i got mad how they gave her more attention, but now that i am older i notice how wrong i was.

yeah my sis is my little sister and believe me they do like her better, granted she may be under some stress. I mean i do everything by myself and my dad makes 95% of the money too. She doesn't really do that much for me, i mean i do all of my own cooking, cleaning, laundry ect.

Well, I came on here just now because my friend is on here and my father has a mustang. This just happens to be the first thread I see. Anyway, here's the deal, although most every parent will say they love their kids the same, everyone knows not all of them do. That doesn't mean that it applies to this case necessarily but it would be illogical to think that every parent loves every kid exactly the same no matter what without exception. However, moms tend to treat their young and daughters differently. They may seem to pay more attention to them but remember they think differently, and your mom probably sees herself in some way in your little sister. She can probably relate better to her and your sister probably accepts your moms love differently. That doesn't mean better but that's just the way it is. Boys most often relate better to their fathers, but your father isn't about to go treat you like your mom treats your sister.

Next time something like this happens, don't think of what happened, but instead think of WHY it happened. Maybe your room was not a mess, but your mom wants it clean for a reason, and believe it or not the reason isn't just so that the room is clean. Maybe she worries that others will interpret or judge her baised on her house, and your room is part of the house. Therefore when it is dirty she looks bad...make sense? Again, that may not necessarily be the case, but just look into why it happened and eventually you'll figure it out.

yeah i could see that, however my room was clean and we dont have anyone ever over except my friends. I still have no clue why the hell it happened now she just acts like it never happened, wierd.

That's good advice too, I am only 19 but when I moved out, all that stuff became trivial. Think ahead, when you're older none of this stuff will matter. Unfortunately, however, your problems get bigger, but you also get more freedoms as well. The way it went for me was that I just wanted to rest every once in a while but I couldn't ever sit down without getting yelled at. Just know that the times will pass and tomorrow will come, appease your parents for now, cleaning your room and getting yelled at is no big deal, eventually things will turn out how you want them to. Everybody goes through it, just make the best of it and realise your parents went through this same stuff too, and I bet they felt the same way about their parents. Just think if they felt the way you do, and yet they put you through it as well, there's a reason!
