i think im gonna get a Fox

Ive been wanting a V8 / 5 speed for awhile now, And i think ive made up my mind...what do you guys think of a 90-93 GT with heads/cam/intakes,gears and all the other little goodies. im sure it would be a noticeable kick in the pants than my v6 Ive been finding them in the 6k range with motor work etc.. so i was thinking if i could sell my car for 9ish buy a older 5.0 have a quicker/ more fun car, and have money left over.

What do you guys think?

I say go for it. I went from a nitroused V6 to a Blown V8 and boy you dont even understand how laughable of comparssion it is. I love the decision of trade I made.

As for spending 6k on a fox your crazy. I spent 2gs on my hatchback. It was clean on the outside with a near mint interior. Did have to do some maintence work (tune-up,egr,fp relay) But other then that baby ran beautiful

Parts are real cheap to get. Esp like corral you can get parts that are barely used for fraction of a price thats how I ended up picking up my Procharger perfect deal came across.

Gawd I love the fox

i didn't think 6k was too bad considering the ones i was looking have GT-40s in them, or 347s I am having trouble finding a Notch in good shape, but anyhow im gonna wait untill i get my income taxes and my bonus from work before i go seriously looking.

But thanks for all the feedback everyone

my friends 90 fox body has 5 lug swap and H&R springs with bilsteins for a 1.5 drop~ (alot for a fox) and the 03 cobra rims TOTALY make it look amazing, however NOTCH backs OWN GT's and LX's.... they are alot more money.... (he also has h/c/i/gears/exhaust/pulleys/...etc and it pulls like a mofo from 3k up.. .runs 7s in the 8th mile with slicks.

concerned about gas mileage? don't be... I drive close to 500 miles/week (on my 89 hatch LX/5.0 5 speed), too about a 30/70 mix of city/highway driving, and I get between 19 and 22 MPG every time I fill up (twice a week - I don't usually get more than 10-11 gallons of fuel when I stop for it) mine has enough bolt on goodies to have me running mid-high 13s on a stock block with 182k miles on 'er... (intake/cam/exhaust/gears, heads are stock..)

my almost stock '02 gets that kinda gas mileage, lol, a bit better on the highway driving side, though..

P.S. I don't drive easy, I'm WOT as often as possible.

Another one will be coming to our side. You wont ever regret the move. Just take your time on choosing the right fox thats my advice I looked over 10 plus foxs before I decided on mine. Good luck man
