At work I was wearing my jacket, just a blue and black jacket because I work next to the door ALL day. I can't leave the door, I see every customer walking in and out. They can be sick, coughing all over them and I come within a 1 foot range of them when they leave. And it's been pretty cold out lately, lowest 43 highest 58 so I've got quite a chill when people come in.
A couple of days ago our manager comes over and tells me to take off my jacket because it isn't dress code matieral. So I said, "So you want me to freeze up here?" He tells me to go tell someone in customer service to order me a long sleeve shirt. So I go over and she tells me I won't be able to get that shirt until SPRING/SUMMER. So what the hell?
Work wants me to freeze standing up there, wants me to get sick, so I wear a jacket so I can stay warm and do my job. What the hell? Is there a lawsuit in here if they fire me for wearing a jacket when they can't even supply me with a jacket or long sleeve shirt?
