OLD Meets NEW Generation...

A guy I work with here in GVL sent me his project car he has been working on off and on for some time now...

http://members.tripod.com/~COSA4U/james.html

He has taken the roof off of a 65 and added a 2000 style to it, and he dropped in the '98 black/grey interior in there just for the pic, which were actually held in with bungy cords just for the picture, he has totally ripped everything out of it, and taken the roof back off and plans on placing a rollcage in there and new flooring and all. He said it was amazing how the interior dimenion pieces fit the car to an T, the rear dash area that holds the speakers and such just about fit right in there... They have stripped out the frame work of the car, and have welded in a more modern A frame style.

And for the sad news of this whole project...He plans on dropping a GM Motor in there with a an dual carb. setup:

That guy has issues. if he's looking for cubes he should have gone with a 331 or 347.

He's an idiot in my book.

I should slap that guy silly for putting a GM motor in, thats like when people put 350's in their T-bucket (which is a real big trend for some queer reason).

But alias I must say because I have been there. If you are building a carb motor Chevy motors are way cheaper from 1970 to current the motors are virtually unchanged the 55 to 69 motors had smaller journals but the heads, cams intakes can be used plus there are way more aftermarket parts. But even knowing that putting a Chevy motor in a Ford is kind of Gay
