ban ip

Is there anyone here who knows how to ban an IP-adress from a webpage??

Please help me

it is for my own webpage, because there is a person that is copying from me, and then says i've copied from the person and other things like that...

You will have to have access to the server that your site is hosted with and have a firewall insatlled where you can block the ip.

Other than that report the person to your webhost.

You could put some code in your web pages to check for that user as well and then redirect them off somewhere of your choosing. This is kind of a hack and will only work as long as their IP never changes, but, you could get real creative on where to send them.

I've tried this, but the strange thing is that then i get blocked too...and we don't have the same ip-adress...that is what is kinda buggin' me!

Try changing your if (ip = 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xx') to if (ip == 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xx'). Your statement is say if ip eqauls something that I am setting it to (which will always be true) then do everything. The comparison operator is actually == in JScript. Let me know if that works.

ok..i just tested it...and it doesn't work...
seem like, if i ban one ip ad...everyone get's banned...

kinda strange...
