POLL: Tell me which style you like better for my truck

Okay, now i've been stuck with a tough choice on weither to leave it street or offroad. The main looks i'm going for will be in these 3 pics. Which is of a members truck on my ranger forum.

Okay from left to right:

1. Stock size tires with the rear lift blocks removed and aftermarket wheels

2. Aftermarket wheels, stock suspension and 31in tires.

3. Lift with aftermarket wheels and tires

Now if I go for a total street look i'll be going for some 17in mustang wheels. Either bullits or maybe cobra r's.

If I had a 2wd truck like yours..I'd put about 2 inches of suspension lift, new rims, beefy tires, push bar, maybe a roll bar (maybe), and a tubular rear bumper that wraps around and be about done with it

you'd be shocked at what we can do with our 2wd rangers. There's tons of guys on on my ranger forum that hit mud on a regular basis with their 2wd's and dont get stuck. It's not puddles either its serious mud. If you have good tires, a locker in the rear and know how to drive you can do almost anything a 4wd can. You just have to know your limits.

There unfortunately isn't a 2in lift. Just 3in spindle lift and i'd have to get some add a leaf springs. I will NOT do a body lift either and that would be the only way to do a 2in lift.

You have to remember the 2wd ranger I drive.... a 97 ex cab 2wd auto 4.0, 4.10 gears out rear, dual helper springs, and street tires...it don't do anywhere lol. I've carried my car alot further than that damn truck. Haha...as a matter of fact I drove down a road the other day one of my friends got stuck on..he was in a 02 2wd 3.0 ranger. Had to go back and get a jeep and pull him out lol

My guess is he probably has an open rear end and he has the crappy stock good for a years. They will get you stuck faster then flies on **** lol. If you have atleast all terain tires or mudders and know how to drive it in those situations you will be a lot LESS likely to get stuck.

It's a locking rear and all terrains...it's just that I built the truck to haul my boat and a camper. It will go through some mud...but it still sucks compared to 4x4's lol. I've still driven it and my mustang and my old grand prix through more mud than alot of 4x4's can get through...i know how to drive, trust me lol. Ppl always call me when they want to go mud riding cuz I can normally get them out without a problem

I'm not questioning your driving lol but as you can see I did pretty good in my sig pic. Thats with a 4.10 open rear end and the stock bfg long trails(a little better then the good for a years, but not much) I want to get some 31in bridgestone dueler revo's. One thing i've noticed though is that with the edge's they are a bit better at offroading then an xlt. It's probably the fact they sit up like a 4x4 which prevents things from catching on the bottom as much. Got any pics of the ranger? I use to have a 97 reg cab 2.3 5spd good little truck but slow as hell lol
