they'll put a cover over it I'm sure. I think they are just showing off the internals. So imagine it covered up

I imagine those things get weak and worn over time eventually not springing back or getting too old and beginning to sag when your car is parked. I don't necessarily thinks they're something anyone should get immediately. Once they come out it will take a long while to see the results and have them fix any minor problems. Maybe in the far far future I'd consider getting them, but as it is right now I don't think I bend my rims often enough to invest in anything like that

No michelin just released that at the auto show, they're not even for sale yet. They're still doing r&d on them. They are so big because they require no air to run them so you never ever have to worry about a blow out. And no they dont begin to sag where your parked because they are made of urethane and are made to spring back. There are lots and lots of info on them if you just search google : michelin tweel. If you go to their website they have a couple pic of things they have put them on they have even put them on a bobcat thing and they held up fine no problems. Another awesome thing about these tires is they say they can actually tune the ride of the tire because of the urethane they can adjust what properties it has.

I think they would be cool for a spare!!!! You would never have to worry about your spare being flat when you really need it.

they don't look good because they are open to show off how they work! I imagine they will look like every other tire on the road - the vavle stem, if/when they go into production

those are strange looking for sure. I don't know that I would go right out and buy them either. I would wait a while and make sure that they are not going to mess up on you.
