Re: Got a new tv

nice, LCD is the way to go. Will last more than a year unlike some of the plasmas out there. Some of the plasma display lifespans were rediculous.

I got it at Best Buy. This was actually a display model they didn't carry anymore so i went ahead and got the extended warranty but still not bad seeing the regular price was $889.

I'm sorry but I have 2 plasma big screens and 1 smaller on have had them for about 2 1/2 years with no issues? My brother has had 3 bigger plasmas for about the same time and my parents have two???

Not one issue.

Ya, I was being overly sarcastic when I said 1 year. I guess the display lifespan of the plasmas was barely lasting 9 years according to some testing. The LCDs were lasting longer, but now the plasmas are lasting much longer.

But then that's based off having the tv on for 8+ hours every day...who does that??? So, I guess its a preference, each one has their positives and negatives.
