All of these swords are very heavy except for the Katana which are not suppose to be heavy. These are not toys. Some dont have a edge on them but the Scottish claymore with the brass guard and plummel will cut you in half with one wack. Actually swords dont have to cost a mint unless you go to some grand sword maker that does a 1000 folds to the blade to make a $2,000 to $10,000 sword. That is insane. Today we can take a good carbon steel or Stainless steel and Heat treat it to be better than any Grand sword makers dream. The key is to have a blade without voids in the blade metal. That is why I have 2 blades currently waiting for heat treat before being sharpened to a razors edge.

OH by the way I recently joined Medievel Organization that does actual medievel tournament fighting with real armour and tournment weapons made of Rattan wood. My armour is going to cost around 1,500. been to a couple of tournments already and have seen a few people carted off to the hospital. I am going to specialize in sword which I already have experience in.

I dunno some of his swords are dated though. I dunno much about them I just know their heavy as sh*t and costed him some dough.

Got any pics of these tourments? sounds intresting cant image hardcore sword owners going at it in full armor.

Does steven siegal enter these? hes a HUGE sword owner got swords dated from the Samarui days thats just crazy

Don't know much about swords but I know my friend got a real one. He had an orange tree and if you were accurate enough you could cut the bottom of the orange off and the top would still be connected by the stem, it was awesome.

i had an ex-girlfriend who was into martial arts and swords

its rather funny, she had one of those bamboo practice sword thingies (forgot the name), and i told her to give me a full attack (we "sparred" a bit before hand), so she goes to attack, and somehow, i deflected the poser sword, put her against the wall and had her in a nice hold, she was rather upset because well...ive never taken a day of martial arts in my life, and she took something for like, 3 years

sadly, i wish i could say after owning her in the battle, i continued the battle on a different field, but well...lets just say she was a prude, so i dont have to tell a long drawn out story

Being bigger to me seems like enough. A lot of fighters think they can take anyone, and I've seen small guys take big guys, but from what I've seen if the big guy even knows a little bit or can move around, it's no contest just cause he's so much bigger. You know there are acceptions and Bruce Lee could take anyone but my friends that are tall have way easier times wrestling than the small ones with more experience.

well, she was actually much faster than i am physically, but i saw an opening and went for it, so i guess i have mental speed on her

also, she was just about as strong as i am, which really sucked when youre trying to wrestle...made me wonder about my masculinity for a while

but in all honesty, it's more of a novelty item then anything else... it doesn't serve any real purpose - it's just fun

oh yeah, it looks cool too! :patriot:
