hmm might need stiches.....

was cutting opening for cobra grill insert with a razor knife, knifed slipped out of bumper and got my thumb in 2 places. the bad spot i can seperate the skin and see muscle and a purple vein lookin thing

i can still move and feel it so i didnt cut anything imprtant i dont think lol

my mom wasnt much help, just helped me place bandaids to keep the skin tight together then i had to wrap the gauze myself, since her "tight" was almost falling off.

heres a pic of my handy gauze work haha, btw prally some mistakes an **** but typin with only left hand lol.

dang, my bro once had a bike crash and somehow (we still don't know how) his leg got slit open...it was like 6 inches long down his shin and you could see his bone, it was sooo sick. Turned out he didn't lose anything important but he had to have it elevated for a while. Good luck with that

^^^booty call?

walk it off soldier.

when i was about 15 i was trying to cut a piece off a model that i had put on wrong, and the blade finally sliced through and jabbed my finger. well it mustve happened so fast that severed the nerves before they could react(i was pushing on the blade with all my force) so i never felt a thing. continued to work and few minutes later noticed what i thought was a little jar of testors red paint spilled over, check all the paints, red is still in the tray and closed. look around notice red running down my arm, follow the trail to a huge 1.5" long gash in my left hand pointer finger, spewing the red stuff, and a good portion of bone showing. i think they did like 9 or something stitches. oh and to this day i still dont have feeling in that portion of my finger, pretty sweet huh.

haha, luckily I made a nice straight cut down the top of my thumb (almost knuckle to knuckle) then one not as deep on the knuckle itself. so i dont think anything important was there...purple thing could of been a nerve but it looked like I cut next to it instead of through it.

Your thumb has a vein, so that could have been it. If I had seen it, I could have told you what it was.

side note, that is why you don't take a pulse reading using your thumb. Because your thumb has its own pulse, and it would be easy to get your pulse and the patients pulse confused.
