On my way to work this morning...

I turned a bird into a cloud of feathers. It flew out in front of me at an angle, from somewhere off to my right. It dissapeared out in front of the bumper. I never saw him come out the other side. I glanced down to my driver's side mirror and saw a big cloud of feathers. Brought a smile to my face.

I was actually driving the Civic to work, this morning. The 'vette doesn't get out of the garage a whole lot, any more.

Re: On my way to work this morning...

I hit a turtle with my rear differential last night. It was all squated down and I said... "we're gonna hit this *****". My passenger said "no way, it's too low...." *dink*

Re: On my way to work this morning...

Last summer my dad hit a goose. The top passenger side windshield was completely compacted in, with a few holes through.

Re: On my way to work this morning...

I've hit 3 deer, an owl, and seen a bird explode into blood, guts, and feathers on a windshield. I also had a friend that had a deer run into the side of his car as he drove down the road and cave in the drivers door. Animals are stupid, but at least that doesn't make them taste bad.

Re: On my way to work this morning...

^nice

I flattened a dear going 60mph and didn't do a thing to the car. Stupid thing decided to run out at me, then change its mind at the last second. Must have slipped and went down, only to be crushed by a 17x9 tire and a 17x10.5 tire. Only remnants of it on the car was a small piece of jerky on the left cat...medium to well done

I disagree...having worked on a dairy farm for 5 years, I can definitely say that cows are the worlds more retarded creature.

I had that happen once as well. Someone stopped to get the turtle out of the road...but didn't pull off far enough for me to drive around it...so I drove over it. It hit the transmission and you hears a "pop" sound and the guy that stopped yell "oh no no no no no".

That is why so many people die from animal incidents. Yanking the wheel to avoid an animal is a quick fire way to end up in a ditch, against a tree, in the water, etc. Every year many people died in ny from trying to avoid a deer in the road. Just hit the *****...that's what insurance is for.

Oh I agree that cows are the world's most retarded creature. When I said deer, I meant out of the ones you can hit with a car. You hit a cow and your ****ed. Hell, hittin a turkey at 40 is like hittin a bowling ball.

True dat. A few years ago a woman was taking her daugter to school. She swerved to avoid a squirrel and rolled her suv. She died, and her daughter was injured badly. Just stupid to try and avoid an animal and put your life and others at risk.

Re: On my way to work this morning...

i don't know what the hell i hit with my protege a couple months back, but i was the only car on the road, i jsut locked the brakes and nailed the *****... unfortuneltly i don't know what it was and it folded the plastic bumper in on its self into the air intake (big white plastic box below the air filter... don't know what it was for, but part of it shattered... fixed it with duct tape )which went into an a/c condensor thingy which ended up in my left front tire... the next morning a hammer and a 2x2 peice of wood fixed everything...
