| Gf's car got hit last night
Yeh..so last night at 4:30 in the morning I get a call from my gf...
A guy who has a history of drunk driving and drug use ran her car over lol.
He was driving past his ex-gf's house apparantly seeing if she had a guy over. He first ran into a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, owned by a campus police officer who heard it all happen and came running. Well..he hit her jeep, busted out her tail light on driver's side, left deep scratches all the way down the side of her jeep, and tore her heated power mirror off the truck and then proceeded to hit my gf's car and run down the side of it as well and stop about 10 feet later. As you can see, it's a pretty good amount of damage, car isn't worth but just a tad under 3g in perfect shape, and it's nowhere near there. Well..I'm sitting there tonight taking pics of her car and seeing what else is wrong and the guy pulls back up at that girl's house. Walks up to the front door, and makes his way in by kicking the door. The girl runs outside yelling for help from this guy cuz he just broke in her house. Well, he was taken off to jail...he was also drunk. The guy doesn't have insurance, has no money, and has now screwed up. So...who knows what's gonna come of this.
O yeh, question, I went to start my gf's car tonight to see if the rear suspension is messed up (the left rear tire looks out of whack, the top is in further than the bottom, but I'm hoping it's just at an angle), and I go to crank the car, and it has a half tank of gas, good battery power, and the starter was turning over, just no engine cranking. So..I'm thinking it's the fuel cut off switch, and I'm gonna try and reset that tomorrow and hope that fixes it, anyone have any ideas?
O yeh..and I snapped a pic of the dude's truck after he was arrested...looks like it's been a few wrecks prior to this lol.

man that sucks for your g/f, I dont think I could ever be w/o a car for anytime. that guy is a jackass and he deserves to go to jail and lose his license. As for the fuel switch I think it might be it as well, let us know how it turns out.

Yeh man, will do. This just pisses me off...but O well, there's stupid ppl out there. She has uninsured motorist insurance..but still she'll have to pay a 500 dollar deductible and it'll be a claim on her insurance.

Double check on that deductible. On my insurance there is no deductible for an uninsured motorist claim.

Really...On mine (I have allstate) it's the same as a normal claim. She has Allstate as well so I figured her's would be the same. I dunno, her dad's gonna call tomorrow after I fax a copy of the report to him and see what all can be done. I just hope the car runs after I reset the fuel pump...

is the fuel cut off switch the same thing as the inertia switch? b/c i know that on fox mustangs the inertia switch is on the taillight panel and it could have gotten moved when he hit her car, keeping the engine from starting up.

It's in the left rear of my trunk..I gotta rip into her's and find it this afternoon. Gotta get this thing running so I can carry it up to ford and get a quote going on it. Quote: |

I wouldn't want that thing. And..he's a lawyer, but has no money b/c he's always having wrecks and had some major hospital bill a little while back. I dunno, prolly just gonna pay the deductible and let the insurance company worry about it while my gf has a new car.
