lot of v8 owners are dicks

ok so our muscle club here in town....a lot of them are nice but there is a handful of guys that are just dicks because they own GT's and Z28's and all that V8 jazz.

funny thing is a lot of them have more probs w/ their v8's than they care to admit

people just get a chip on their shoulder when they have a v8 or big engine thinking they are the king of the road. I personally dislike anyone that acts that way.

yes, there are tons and tons of people that love to put down v6s just cuz they feel they are lower than they are, they havent taken the time to even consider or research what it can do, they just assume its a 17 second car that cant do any better, in my younger days I didnt just start arguing i actually gave out points and research locations on and time slip locatiosn but they didnt care, they still said dont matter its just a v6 ... lol its the way of the world, at least some of them are cool... i know when i have a new v8 mustang i wont look down on v6 people.

I have come across a very few with the attitude of holier than art thou.

Most of the people I associate with admite effort and heart more than cylanders. And quite a few of them own Cobras!

Might be the people you are hanging with.

exactly.

their biggest argument is that the money we put in etc, and the 'power wall' we'll hit with a v6.

funny thing is a lot of this comes from a guy w/ a POS (condition, not style) foxbody that runs slower than me

i like being different too. everyone w/ a v8 will tell you they've all done the same thing. a supercharged 4.2 is a nice change for a stang...especially one that drifts

Well, I used to be in that crowd. I believed that a V6 mustang was nothing more than a ford taurus with a mustang shell. But, in my aging, I have come to realize that a V6 has potential with work, and it is the first step for those that can't afford a V8...it is the entry level to get mustang in the blood.

On a related note, I still love punking the kids that pull up next to me in the V6 thinking that is what I have as well....when in fact I am in a little ole V8.

most the v8 guys i run into are dicks till they hear the turbo, then they become complete ********. went to a meet this weekend and there was a couple of us turbo dsms there and we were in a big lot and on the other side was this group of guys with some late model chevy and ford trucks with some meaty sounding big blocks and were laughing at the bov. later that night we lined up and needless to say theyre not laughing anymore.

its nice to meet guys who are into the "whole" car scene, not just v8's and such. guys who know their odds and ends about modding most of the cars out there are the only guys i tend to associate myself with.

Eh its a never ending battle of arguements theres alway sgonna be V8 guys making fun of V6 people for wasting their money (which in ways is true) and theres always gonna be V6 guys complaining on how the V8 guys are picking on them.
As someone said it'll shut some people up once you beat a V8 but then they'll give you the speech on all that money you spent you coulda just gotten a V8 blah blah

Basically just who cares people need to stop worrying if someone in aGT tells you why u didnt get a V8 you tell them why didnt you get a cobra. Plain and simple and if a dude in a cobra makes fun of you just tell them to go get beat by a vette or something

but again never ending battle ive gone through the very modded V6 to now the modded V8 personally wish I had gotten a V8 before hand woulda had alot faster car if I spent all that cash on my V6 to a V8. :yup:

BTW teh V6 can neva lose

i love my six.. i see the potential.. but as soon as i get the chance im buying a v8. its not that i think v6s mustangs suck.. its just that v8s "start off" with more power before the modding begins.

i love my v6..............................for the gas milage in reality v6's require alot more money to make the same amount of power that a v8 stang has. In reality my v6 is a good reliable daily driver nothing more nothing less. yeah i can take a few cars on but i know i'm no hot **** or anything. when i get my v8 which jimmy has been sworn to secrecy about. I will be doing alot more racing.
