I take it he doesn't like the car?

That is the only way for a neon to be treated....

like a rental car! woo.. ahem

I'll attest to that's what RWD cars are like in the rain.. pretty rediculous

your rear will be begging for mercy after that

as far as going into the water, I was thinking the same thing "hope the turbo pickup is pretty high" remember the video of a guy that thought he was cool and tried to pass through a flooded road in his truck, only to find out that liquid can't be compressed and pushed his crank out the bottom of the truck about midway

lets see, only one. unless he basically gets the filter submerged and is in boost, hes gonna have a hard time hydrolocking it.

think about it, youd suck up the water, then that water hits the turbine inducer wheel spinning at prolly 60k rpm, which will turn a cup of water into fine mist within milliseconds, so now you basically have a water injection mister system. now it(the mist) has also been exposed to the hot turbo(which is why we have intercoolers), which will evaporate most of the mist upon contact, so now we have maybe 25% of the mist left. now it must travel through around 11 feet of pipe, and a front mount intercooler before reaching the engine. so now you have a super cool mister effect.

and if he does submerge the intake underwater and does suck up bucketfulls of water, hes gonna destroy the compressor side of the turbo. a little water it can take care of, but massive amounts of water with turbine blades spinning at 60k will shred the blades clean off. so now along with water coming through the piping, you have thousands of little pieces of the turbine blades all on a collision course with the pistons and head. along with hydrolocking the motor he will undoubtedly kill the block, head, valves and everything else associated with the rotating assembly, cause the pieces of the turbine could get past the rings if the hydrolock kills the crank and into the oil, and if the engine continues to try to operate those pieces get into everything else associated with the lubrication system and you can use your imagination

this is course pure theoretical thinking on my part on 3 hours of sleep and preparations for the second coming of yet another back seat fiberglassin project.
