Dodged a bullet

Got pulled over for doing 82 in a 65 last night.

Left with a warning ticket.

Lucky me.

Guess I'll save mt lotto dollar for next week cause I used up all my luck this week.

a little bit of ticket advice for when your luck runs out...

call a traffic lawyer! they'll get you off the hook, and it'll probably cost less then the ticket would if you paid the city.

He was on the side of the road. It was about midnight I came over a hill on a very dark two lane highway and there he was.

I need to invest in a radar detector, it'll be cheaper.

82 in a 65 is about a $300 fine. Even if I take defensive driving to keep it off my record (and not raise my insurance premiums) I still have to pay the fine AND the defensive driving costs.

$350.00 pays for a lot of radar detector.

Steve

Ha..well the only radar detector I'd buy is 350 bucks. A Valentine with the concealed package.

The Valentine is on my list but recent testing has the Bel and Whistler top line models surpassing the Valentine, so I am in a quandry.

wrong!

a lawyer can take care of it for less then the cost of the ticket, and it'll be off your record.

why waist the money on a RD? really??? if you speed then you run the risk of getting pulled over... EVERYone speeds, but that does not make it right, i speed o well. also atleast here in Indiana, a cop will pase you, and wont need a radar. (a cop 3 cars back, going the same speed as you will hold up in court. and chips... WHy fight it?? waist of time, tax money and anything else i can think of. pay the money, or do the time. u broke the law you must pay for it.

its just the luck of the draw really. i always speed on the highway.. i just slow down in the potential hiding spots. you win some you lose some.

who's fighting anything?

all i do is pay for a lawyer to take care of it so i don't have to. he shows up to court for me so i don't have to. i pay him instead of the city, and i feel like i'm "beating" the system by not paying into it.

that was the same way for me. several years driving a truck and i never even got pulled over. then all of a sudden, i get two tickets in as many months.

I'd rather pay my fine than pay a lawyer.

that's your choice, but believe me, you can save money if you go to the right guy.

do yourself a favor and at least call a traffic attorney before going to court or taking defensive driving.

I can just go to defensive driving school..pay my 35 bucks, get the ticket dropped, and nothing goes on my record. Gotta love MS. As long as you don't get two tickets under the same judge noone never knows.
