i don't think they're gonna blame it on gta...only because of the way that they described how he acted. Sounds more like something pissed him off, and this is the way he dealt with it.
Its ashame though cause ur supposed to feel safe when u go to school, ur not supposed to fear ur life.

Some people just take things too far!! 
What teenager doesn't play VG'S or watch TV?? I have played VG's since I was 9 years old, I am 25 and still play VG's even violent ones and I have never just felt like killing someone!!!
These kids that seem to think killing people will solve their problems have much deeper issues than playing VG's and watching too much TV! Why don't these people look at what kind of family and friends these kids have instead of looking for something stupid to throw the blame on?!? | |

I play first person shooter games all the time, I have several guns in my apartment. Do you see me going around shooting ppl when I get mad at them? No, some ppl are just messed up and look for something or someone else to blame their personal problems on.

the kids that usually do this are the ones that have been or should be diagnosed with conduct disorder--if this is caught when they are young, it can usually be treated thus, preventing situations like this. what i'm saying is that this kid most likely had conduct disorder, people ignored it, and now it turned into antisocial personality disorder--people with this tend to turn into career criminals (not all of them, but a good percentage)
just to note i'm not defending this kid or what he did. people shouldn't blame video games when it could actually be something else.

|  I did a speech on video game violence and how dumb it is to blame video games on the shootings in columbine and such. Video games are a release for anger, it doesn't promote it.

i own several guns. in fact, there are two of them within easy reaching distance.
i also like video games. i have spent most of my time playing fallout 2, rainbow 6(original), and raven shield.
i doubt any of y'all have ever played fallout 2, but it involves lots of kiling and lots of guns. and rainbow 6 of course is all about shooting people.
with all that said, i have never even considered shooting anyone unless it was for the protection of myself or my family. blaming it on games is bull****! these kids are sick - they need help. taking video games away from kids won't help a bit.
