Problems with no cat back for a while?

For a few weeks or a month, would running around with just my cats on and no muffler be alright?

I'm guessing it wouldn't be too horrible for the engine. I doubt I will be in a situation where the cops could get wise. And yes, I will have it cut so that the exhaust goes down and not straight backwards, melting something under my car.

Questions, comments, suggestions?

I dont see where you would have any problems all Mufflers do is add some backpressure and reduce noise levels just creat some makeshift dump pipe. You car still wont be as loud as a Harley

Yeah, Harleys are loud as ####, I've been trying to catch up to them but its impossible. For awhile I had no mufflers or cats or anything and they were still louder.

I'll jsut bolt 8 seperate tubes to my engine and have them stick out the hood like a dragster.

it wont be bad for the engine.

Many people modify cars for open headers and what not.

yes, but you'd have to modify your engine for that. titanium exhaust valves and whatnot.

running open headed i KNOW is a bad idea. is the car still like that?
