command prompt messaging

at my school we've been having a lot of fun with this. if your on a network and you know computer names you cand make a little window pop up that says your message. just type...

net send *computer name* *your message*

today i was sittin in web design and some kids from study hall came into the computer lab..I told two of them to shut down their computers immediately and that I was the network administrator, lol. Then i told a couple other guys to open wordpad and just random stuff..they were all like wtf!?!?
It was funny

you'll find all sorts of old school tricks like that at a con, my computer got lots of netsends at phreaknic 6...

if you find a school that doesn't have switches then you can have alot of fun, backorfice is a good starting point.. (make someone's computer do pretty much anything remotely)

I remember calling out an old roommate because he claimed that porn was just... so below him and was generally disgusted at the 3 other mates for watching porn, but we noticed that he never locked his door, even when sleeping, except a few times for a short period at a time, sniffed his ip for a while over the network and found him browsing porn at the same time that his door was locked, made a printout of his computer name next to what he was browsing, made like 50 copies or something insane like that.. scattered them everywhere, even down the halls of the dorm

that was before UAH had switches installed, hacking a local is still do-able these days, especially messaging client's but its more involved now.
