Got Dyno'd...

Local shop using a Mustang Dyno.

167.4rwhp @ 5200 rpms
185.0rwtq @ 3000 rpms

My numbers are ok but not that great mainly because I'm running way too rich.

From 2500 rpms I'm at 13.295 afr to 10.54 at 5400 rpms. I would have to say a tune is definitely in order. I could easily gain maybe 10 rwhp from a proper afr tune.

Fuel Pressure was a steady 39/40psi.

I'll get the graph and charts scanned soon.

Here's the charts and graphs, and yes, peak torque is at 3000 rpms.

You're still making power when you called it quits, why didn't you take it to 5,800rmps, rev limiter / speed limiter?

I bet you have 172-175rwhp@5500-5600rpms right now.
With a tune maybe 180rwhp@5600-5700rpms.

I agree with v6ps, you SHOULD have near 180 hp, but the torque is way off, aren't we supposed to have like 220 torque? that is what I read somewhere. 190 hp with 220 lbs of torque, wtf was that?

actually down low in the rpm range 12 -13 is ok you were building HP but on the top end you were way rich at 10. I have just the opposite problem I am super rich at idle to 3500 rpm and to lean at 16 up top

Mustang Dyno's #'s dyno below Dyno Jets. But Dyno Jets do not properly measure true hp/tq levels. They're basically for before and after changes.

My numbers on a Dyno Jet would have been around 175rwhp and 193 rwtq. But I still have the same problem of running rich. I'll be talking to FordChip soon.

With those numbers of 175rwhp and 193rwtq, I'd be putting out 210 crank hp and 232 crank tq. That's with a common 20% drivetrain loss assumption.

Danger Dude is exactly right, right at 5300 I started losing hp but my HP numbers should be higher by almost 10 or more if I wasn't running so rich. I believe with a Fordchip properly burnt for the few engine mods I have I'll be in good shape.

This would also explain my poor gas mileage.

I'm selling the whole catback to a local guy. I'm just hoping he holds out until I get my new system.

not bad...you just a lil higher than me (stupid 5speeds )

Were in the same boat with the rev limiter. Remove that and youd see a bit more power, and with a tune, that means yuoll have even MORE 8)
