Well, Clutch put its 2 week notice in

Bad new...It seems my clutch has had enough of me. I was driving to work today, and well, I did a hard accel from a stop up to about 80 and in the process of shifting from 1st to 2nd, nothing happened. When I put it in second let the clutch out, it just reved for about 3 seconds before there was any acceleration. It was like traction control came on once I put it in second, but, I don't have traction control enabled anymore so it wasn't TC.

Good news, will have a Spec Stage 3 in for the july trip and will be broken in by then. Other good news is I went and ordered my drag radials while I Was at it, so I will have those as well. Should be getting the clutch put in next week as well as the tires mounted, new flywheel, new TOB, and complete adjustable firewall quadrant. Might as well do it right the first time.

Oh well, I knew it was coming...I just didn't know how long it would hold up to the mods. I guess now I know.

RIP Stock clutch...now, bring on the real Horse Power....Here Kenne Kenne...Here boy.

Well, I was hoping to make it to next year on my current clutch, but, I think the brake stands I did 2 years ago put it in a not so happy condition. Add in the smaller pulley and I knew it was only a matter of time. Luckily, it happened at tax time before I distributed all my return...

I will definitely be on this trip. I have missed a couple that I planned to go to due to work...this one I am not missing.

i think a better clutch would be my first order of business on a stang, along with 4.1's and tlock out back, so i can just drop it and light them up without worrying about wear on the clutch. hell i think a better clutch will be my first order of buisiness on any car with a manual. one of my first mods to the gst and it makes it feel like a whole new car, and you get the feeling youre making more power to the ground, i dont know, hard to explain. its a big difference.

Haha, sucks about the stock clutch, but good that you're getting a new better one.
