Do what? What's your car doing? Is it just from being ragged or what?

Sounds to me like you have a heavy foot...I say spend the money you would spend on a DSM and get forged everything for your car, you'll come out better and have a better looking car. I'm just biding time till mine dies...trying to get a bike so I can keep off the stang this summer. I buried the speedo twice today...and that's around 140.

You're not gonna get any money out of your car...instead of spending 20g on a GT, put 5 g in your car and have a very faithful daily driver that will now handle your heavy foot. Anything else you buy will do the same ... might as well fix up your car.

Dude wtf happened?

You just put your exhaust on......you've gotta be kidding me

I'm sorry but that's just f.uckin rediculous....A car is not going to do that, let alone a Ford, from regular driving. You definately had to have been doing something incredibly stupid

That's all it was man, just take some money, whatever you were gonna spend on another car, fix yours, and have a car that can handle your driving. I promise you, if you buy another car, no matter what it is, and drive it hard like you do the stang, it will do the same thing 3 years down the road and you'll be in this same situation. How many miles you got on your car?

You'll come out much better doing that than ditching the 6er all together and losing money buying another car.

not really, from what i understand, you can still buy an extended warranty even if factory one is expired. my friend had an 02 or 03 ford ranger edge and only had the 32k mile warranty. ford said that he could buy the 75k mile warranty even after his factory warranty expires.

now if its mods youre talking about, thats somewhat a different story. i have cai and an udp, so if something screws up i just pop the stock stuff back on and i'm good to go.
but regardless, there is a law that was passed in the 70s (i think) that states that a dealer cannot void warranty based solely on the fact that an aftermarket part is installed. ford fixed my right inlet converter on my exhaust even though i somewhat "modified" it w/ no questions asked.

yes, they can just "claim" some bull**** like "your underdrive pulley is the reason you threw a rod" but if you get another written mechanical opinion that says that the dealer is full of **** and threaten to sue if they dont do what they are supposed to do, then you wont have any problems

plus, i dont think there is any way that ford can tell how you drive your car. i dont think they have those ecu recordings or something like that, that can tell if you have pegged the rev limiter or reached the governed speed. but if there is, you can always get it cleared.

but like i said, still doesnt matter b/c a dealer cannot void warranty based solely on the fact that an aftermarket part is installed unless they can directly realate the two causes together. but if its obvious bull****, then go to a different mechanic and get their written opinion, go back to the dealer and show them and ***** them out, and they'll see it your way.

c'mon man I've raced my stock-motor '89 mustang with 160-184k + miles on it
(started at 160k..) at the track, have 80+ passes on the damn thing and it refuses to quit.

I doubt street racing did much damage to your car

Redlines are there for a reason!

Maybe you blew a head gasket and its causing your other problems?

From experience : its cheaper to fix what you have than get a new car

Well a blown headgasket would only be worsened(and could be caused) by hard acceleration and redlining the car constantly
