So much for modding my car and having a clean record...

Well I'm not a superstitious person, but I got pulled over for the 13th time today and I'm pretty much ****ed now. So I'm on my way to work this morning and i get behind this septic draining truck. He's doing 35 in a 50 and I was starting to get pissed. We get to a really long strait part in the road so I decided to pass him. Well it was a double yellow. I get passed him and around the corner comes a cop. I was doing 63 according to him when I passed him. So I see him turn around so I just pulled right over. So he gets to me and stops in the middle of the road and gets out......walks back to the truck asks the guy if I passed him and then pulls behind me and comes to my car. So this cop is in the town that I have a card from the Chief. Well just my luck I got pulled over by the biggest ******* on the force who doesn't like the chief and doesnt like my dad. So I hand him the card he turns it over looks at the back and hands it right back and says "your getting summonses Ill be back in a few mins". So he wrote me for 63 in a 50 and passing on a double yellow. MY dad called the chief and he said he can't really do anything but that the ******* will get his. I don't think I will be able to get it bumped down because I already used unsafe driving for 2 other tickets. So I am going to call a lawyer and see what they can do. I can't ****ing believe this ****. worst day evar. This will prob **** up my whole life because I planned on becoming a NJ State Police helicopter pilot and they look at your driving record. So in other words I AM ****ED. :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :fu2: :fu2: :fu2: :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

The double yellow lines are there for a reason

Does that card from the chief make you exempt from obeying the laws of the land?

I didn't make this thread to be scolded I get that from my dad, just felt like ranting. And I did not think i was exempt from the law. I was passing a big truck doing 35 in a 55 and there was a huge line behind me because the *** wouldnt let ppl by. It was a road that was strait for about a 1/4 mile so i wasnt being unsafe.

i'm not gunna be a dick and tell you that what you did was wrong, but i will give you the best advice you'll ever get...

do a google search for traffic attournies in your area. they should be able to get you off the hook and get the ticket off your record. it will probably cost less then the fine you got

There's no way he can make the double yellow ticket stick

He didn't see you doing it.. for all he knows you could have passed that truck back in a legal passing zone, that truck coulda been tailgating you, so you slowed down to get him to back off, then sped up again so you'd have a safe distance between you..

etc, etc... if he didn't see you do it he can't legally ticket you for it

definitely take that one to court

you need a faster car. make the cop earn his pay.

instead of stopping, ida hit it hard and took the first right, followed by the closest left and closest right. the cop wouldve had to maneuver around the slow truck, then turn the boat of a car a crown vic is right, then by that time you would be already parked with lights off and ducked, just in case he does get lucky and makes the right combination of turns.

but dont take my advice. its merely 4/20 and im not on any hallucinogens or such

and?

I got a 93 in a 65 but I don't brag about it....getting tickets suck, too much money gets dumped into the police for just pulling people over and not solving/preventing crimes.

A lot of times with speeding tickets you can get it off your record by paying double what the fine is. You might want to look into that.

I've been pulled over about 7 times... no tickets.. but I get pulled over for extremely homofabulous reasons. My first time, it was my first night driving, I was doing what I thought was 55 in a 55... the spedometer was malfuncitoning on our older model Taurus, so he said I was actually doing 43 (yes, UNDER the speed limit). Well, what ended up happening is he came flying up on me (this is about 9 pm)... he catches me, has his BRIGHTS on. I can't see anything, so the car ends up doing a little bit of weaving, so he pulls me over. Got off easy on that one. Next time, I was driving my '97 F-150 with a load of hay on the car trailer.... we're talking 6... 7 bales high, or what equals approximately 12 feet high. As you can imagine this was a large load. I didn't have lights on the trailer, as it was noon.. and very bright out. The cop pulls me over because I don't have lights on the trailer... I said, you don't have to have lights on during the day... he said, yes you do... I said "no, not on a vehicle of husbandry (farm use vehicle)". He said, well, I'll just write you a fix-it ticket, and show me proof you've fixed the situation in 3 days. I said, you don't listen very well, and he said, fine, but the fix-it ticket stands... you just don't have to show me. (yeah, real ****** bag guy). He said he pulled me over because he might've run into the back of me beause I didn't have my lights on... and I said, if you can't see a wall of hay 12' tall by 6' wide... maybe you shouldn't be driving. This was the only time I was a dick to a cop.
The next time I got pulled over, was in the same truck. I was going to the movies with a friend, on a back road highway. It's a 55, and I guess the speed just creeped up on me, and I got pulled over doing 66 in a 55. I stopped immediately. the cop was coming at me, and hit his lights before he even passed me. I appoligized to him, and said I really didn't realize my speed was that high, and that I don't have cruise control, and that it had just crept up on me. He said he understood and let me off with a warning ticket. Mind you... the previous two situations, I could've gotten a ticket for NO muffler on the truck... went from the cats to open pipe.
The next time I got pulled over, wasn't really getting pulled over, the cop was on foot... I was getting gas at the gas station. He walked up said "trying to impress the ladies?" (this is in the '97 F-150 XL reg cab 4X2)... I said no not really... he said, well why did you peel out when you were backing up to the station. I said, well I was on a highway... with traffic coming, it's uphill, and I was in reverse... all those combine to form minor tire squeel.. I didn't even leave marks. He gave me a warning... also, could've gotten me for muffler.
The next time, lol.... I was going to my dorm room about 4:30 a.m... and he pulled me over to ask me what I was doing up that late. I said, going to my dorm room.. "oh"... "was I doing something wrong?"... "well, not really"...."may I continue on my way then?".... "sure".. I swear to God. I guess the guy was just lonely. (Mustang)
The next time, I got pulled over turning a corner because my tire touched the yellow line... no joke. I ended up getting a ticket for not having my driver's license on me... as it was 115 degrees out, and I was in my shorts... forgot my license in my pants. I had 3 days to get it signed by a cop that I had my license. I ended up stopping at a gas station, where a cop was buying a pop and had him sign it in front of the clerk. So I got out of that one... (Mustang)
My next time, and last that I can remember right now.. I was followed by a cop for over a mile... and finally my turn came up. I turned from my lane to the left lane on a two lane road, because I had to turn left on the new road in under 1/10 of a mile. As soon as I turned my turn signal on to turn left... I was pulled over. I got a warning ticket for turning into the wrong turn lane.. even though my turn signal never stopped blinking.. went from blinking right to blinking left. So he tried to get me for having a license plate cover over my license plate because "that's illegal in Nebraska"... "I'm not from Nebraska"... "well it's still illegal here"... "and so is Nebraska tint in Iowa... but they can't get tickets for that in Iowa"... "good point", eyeah. I got a warning ticket for that. (Mustang)
so I have definitely had my run in with the cops... and I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over more to tell you the truth. I have subs, I have loud exhaust, I have flames... and a heavy foot at stop lights.. but don't peel out at them. I will update this if I remember another case of being pulled over.

Ha...first time I was pulled over....I was driving through town with a friend. I was in my 93 grand prix, he was in his dad's 95 f150 standard cab, stepside, 5.0. We take off from a light just messing around, he rides the center turn lane, I ride inbetween the other two lanes. We get up to around 90 in a 45, run a red light or two, pull into wal mart and pull a parking break donut behind the store. As we were preparing to leave...we get blocked in by 3 cop cars. Needless to say it was an interesting next 45 minutes as they proceeded to cuss us out for everything they could think of...but let us go without even a warning. The one ticket I've actually had stick was a 79 in a 65... I was really doing 88 in a 45 but the cop acted like I was another 200 yards down the road going slower. Did driving school, paid 30 bucks, and it's not on my record. Haven't been pulled over lately...had a cop flash at me this past weekend.... for 71 in a 65, I looked at him, shook my head, and kept driving. And had a cop think I peeled out leaving a red light so he tried to pull me over, I pointed at the car in front of me that really did it and left the cop stuck in traffic as I turned off on back roads...
