Lol well seeing that I was born and lived in MI till well after my speech was developed, it makes sense that I don't speak "Dixie" that much.

don't really know how accurate that was, there are alot of words here in Arkansas that most people don't use, or may have never heard of.

I was waiting for the way to say oil, tomato. then there is waller, gander, which are two of my favorites i have to explain to people alot and I am sure I say a lot more people have never heard of.

Hmm, I grew up in NW Indiana, lived in San Diego for 10 years then Texas for 10 years plus a few months here and there mixed in between.

Alabama got their *** kicked by OU?

When was this?

I recall OU barely being able to sqeak the win out BOTH times.... and after the first time I remember them trying to change their schedule so that they would not have to play OU the next season.

*** kicked.... funny....

I have no idea where the Yankee and Dixie come from. The farthest North I have lived is Washington(Puget Sound) that was only until I was about 6 years old.

The Dixie is even more confusing. I have not lived in a southern state since I was 2 years old. As far as accents go, a strong southern accent confuses me more than a deep Scottish brougue.
