so there I was...

outside on the far end of our hangar grilling up some steaks for everyone in my shop on night check. Well just minding my own business and a buddy of mine comes out to smoke a cig and asks me "if that is my new pet" well I payed him no mind thinking he was making some stupid joke about me grilling or something. Well he asked me to turn around and look at what was sitting behind me, so I do and low and behold its a frickin fox, red one with a bushy tail just sitting there waiting for some food. So I cut a little piece of steak up and hold in my hand and he comes up to me eats it out of my hand, so I am like this is pretty cool, but he got spooked by a plane taxing by so he took off and I havent seen him since. But that is my cool story of the evening.

deployed to Sicily?! grill?! animals?! i thought i had it good where i was at.

when i was in Tech school we joked about having two pets in our room, (our dorms were saved from the condemed list due to so many people living in them), we had a mouse and a 3" flying roach. They just wouldnt leave. Got to the point I walked in and the mouse was on my bed...i was just like damnit mouse why couldnt you be on Boca's bed. It jumped off my bed and scurried away and i thought nothing more of it

haha. Remember way back when, they would always brief you never to feed the local animals or take on a mascot animal or some junk like that?

How come nobody ever feeds the camel spiders?

I hear foxes is good eats...

Try to get a pic if you see the little buggar again.
