I got one of those yesterday. It was from a friend, but it looked fishy, so I closed it.

Saying that AOL has a virus is pretty redundant. AOL IS a virus. It is the second most widely spread virus in the world...second only to Windows.

Anyhow, I am glad I don't use AOL...and things like this are the largest reason why I don't.

I used to use AOL. Then I realized it was really slow and I wanted to have internet if I was paying 20 a month. It was unreliable, ugly, you couldn't really use IE with it. Plus they update and eveytime it just makes the thing slowert and worse by adding a bunch of **** that you'll NEVER use.

That seems to be the truth about most software these days...at least it is 100% true with microsoft. Visual studio .NET is rediculous compared to V6. Windows just gets slower even though computers get faster (unless you dig through the system and turn off everything tehy feel you need to have on but dont).

That's what i try to do everytime I reformat this pc. It helps a bit if you turn off a bunch of the services and uninstall the software you know you won't use.
But windows is still slow....I wonder how long it will take me before I switch to another OS. I've already dropped IE for Mozilla....
