should I buy it?

92 LX hatch 5.0/5 speed..
Peeling paint (poor repaint job) on both bumpers, and under one quarter window.. paint chip missing in hood.. top of roof is rough to the touch.. but overall in decent shape exterior for a 13 year old car.. sunroof leaks under pressure-wash.. (one of the hinges is broken) interior is mint except for a dime sized tear in the drivers seat and broken ash tray.. Aside from the fact this engine is damn near stock.. this is a lot like the one I posted before except this one's well within my price range..

engine bay looks great, no oil leaks I could see, underbody was perfect.. car definitely had only 3.08's in it but that's easily remedied..

Best part? 55k miles..
Worst part : calypso green
price : 3500 OBO

it drives great, runs great... I like it

nothing to fix up about it except the few little body things..

car is in otherwise a typical 55k mile car shape..

doesn't seem it was beat either (guy seems to be in his 40s..)

*edit*

In the pic with my '02 in the background.. I think it looks like a good pair

What's wrong with the color? It's a nice unique color too

Just make sure the body is solid.

body is solid as hell.. I looked very close.. only 2 patches of rust I could find.. those were on the edges of the door where it looks like they bumped into something when opened (a garage wall?)

**edit and the color didn't look too bad.. it wasn't teal so its okay..
It kinda has a chromalusion look to it.. at certain angles it looks green, other angles it looks bluish.. I didn't mind it too much

Wife walked by while I had your picture of the Stang up. Her unsolicited comment? "It's ugly" I asked what's ugly she said "the color".

Who cares if the color is not appealing go find me a mint 5.0 with low miles for 3500 thats all I have to say.

Secondly notches are so over-rated. big whoop it weighs 200 pounds less to me notches are ugly.

I rather have a hatchback oh wait I do already

notch backs are faster... if only .2 tenths thats not even the main reason to buy one, the main reason is they look 100x better than a hatchback AND they are 10x more rare

ive seen notch backs (my friend had one that he got direct from ford striped down with no ac etc etc) run 13s... not to bad.

I find it hard to believe a stock 5.0 notch ran 13s in that case.. that's just me though

and I'm barely modded.. I have intake manifolds, headers, dumped catted H.. short throw shifter, CAI and bumped timing.. less than $800 in mods (used parts are the win..)

the Notch owns you, and they're is a reason you can't find them anywhere for less than 2K more than a comparable hatchback (I get it everyday from hatchback owners, "man I wished I had just waited like you and got a notch")
and typically I see notch's running alot better than 2 tenths faster than the same setup on a hatchback (maybe its because the body is structurally more sound, and hooks up better, I dunno I agree that the weight difference ain't that much)

alright, now that that little bit of a rant (due to everyone saying my car is ugly) is over, i'll give my opinion, 3.5K isn't bad for that car at all, only downside is that it has a sunroof (read much lower bluebook and or longevity, leaky roofs) and the calipso green is actually a turn on so long as you like it because it's the rarest color and actually has developed its own small cult following.
keeping it that color green would probably cause it to be worth more (however it is a hactchback and its not going to appreciate much value as far as rarity, but my guess is that you don't care)

btw they only look like sedan's when they're stock, but so do all fox bodies
