Now i know why 5.0's are loved

Because they are so damned fun to drive, I got to drive a friends 90 Vert with ALL the bolt ons, and gears it was fun as **** to drive.

<---- Is going to buy a 5.0 soon

that is all

Yes it's my biggest regret so far, being a ***** about the insurance so I passed up on a beautiful 93 GT. All bolt ons, edelbrock intake, but no gears....

careful with verts though

My neighbor has a 93 vert with subframe connectors, et al...

Thing runs like a beast.. huge tires on the back and it'll smoke 'em regardless

You can see where the WINDOWS scrape into each other when the frame flexes on launch (about 2" back from where they normally sit) (IE top corner of front windows left scrape marks into the top corners of the rear 1/4 windows)

I enjoy driving my 92 GT. Even if it's still 100% stock. For now.

eh id still rather have a 4.6. theres something nice about having power when you want it, and not having to wait for it to come on, like mine.

ok, a 4.6 has more power than my 3.8.... so I don't care, I will settle for anything with more power

what do you have done to it?

I'm basing it off personal experience.. my 89 has gobs of low end power and decent enough up top.. but falls off about 5400 RPMs (even with an e303 cam and ported intakes..), shift any higher than that and car runs 3-4 tenths slower...
my 02 is a DOG anywhere's below 3k.. but midrange has more punch than my 5.0 (~4k RPMs +) and shifting between 5800 and 5900 nets best times..

and I've been to the track with each.. and have driven each weeks on end.. and back to back..

so you must have a factory freak or something (or haven't driven a 5.0 to compare..)

Man, I'm always the odd one out. I love having all the power at higher rpms. I'd have a car that revved to 10,000 if I could. Cars just seem smoother when they have the power at high rpms instead of low and as far as racing goes, smoother always = better. All the best racers say that smoothness is the key to being fast.

What part do you think is bs? you think smoother isn't faster? If you're at the limit of adhesion and your car jerks around you're going to lose control. I don't see where the bs comes from.
