My clutch works again. WOOT!!!

Well, the new clutch is finally installed. Talk about night and day difference. I don't know how many of you have used the clutch in an 03 cobra, but that sucker was very stiff and it took nearly full to the floor to completely disengage. Well, the new SPEC Stage 3 with UPR quadrant, adjustable cable, and firewall adjuster is not even close to that. Pedal effort is rediculously light, it takes about 1.5 inches of travel to completely disengage, and it doesn't slip.

Now to see if I can make it the 450 break in miles required by SPEC without hammering on it. Only 60 so far...but I Think around 300 or so, I am going to get antsy.

I will post pics of my old flywheel and pressure plate later. You have to see these things. Talk about roasted.

Ok, carry on.

The only thing that is stock is the location bewteen the engine and tranny. Everything inside the clutch has been replaced. The TOB, the flywheel, the clutch, the pressure plate, everything. No half assing on this car.

And stangin99, yeah, learning to drive with the state 3 is rather interesting as well...specially with the steel flywheel that takes a little more rpm than the aluminum one would have.

EDIT, and before you reply SpectorV, the stock TOB on the cobra is a POS. There is even an TSB for it that it will **** the bed. THe spec one is 100% better than the stock one in the cobra.

The 100% better than stock Spec one....the stock one on teh cobra sucks. The spec one is better. So, I moved up. If it goes, then I will replace it with something better. But, since it is better than the stock one, I used it.

Spector, are you talking about the old palstic TOB that Spec used to use or the new metal ones?

AFAIK Spec started using OEM metal TOB's with their mustang kits because their cheapo plastic ones were such crap.
