yes neons look gay but so do focus's at least the SRT-4 is fast, the SVT is still slow. I think the SRT-4 should have been AWD or RWD but hey, use slicks. I know a guy, V. presedent of GA-DSM that has the fastest SRT-4 in the world its over 500hp to the wheels. like 430+ on pump gas. sadly hes selling it due to financial issues.

To my knowledge theres quite of handfuls of SRT4s with over 500 hp so i really doubt he has the fastest SRT4 in the world ( )
considering they have a drag car out of that peon too even more doubtful

if we wanna get into non-SRT4 neons...look up Len Ayala (i think thats how its spelled)

theres a guy down the street from me, major dickhead, has an SRT4, and runs low 13's on street tires, not too shabby

there are quite a few srt4's in the 500hp range.

its not that hard of a number to achieve in a car designed for bewst, that can do 25psi on stock internals. strap on a big turbo, add lots of fuel and make sure the **** is tuned. the 2.4l in the srt4 helps out, as well as it being pretty dam light.

EclipseGSTdude you are right about the modding, he did all that then did full internals. he still hasn't gotten a new dyno chart, he blew his head gasket. and yes he did put a big turbo on, 60-1 /76 trim t31 anyways. there may be others pushing what it does but not many and probably not more power.

thats probably the fastest non-srt4 neon out there, he does have another he built that goes 9's, and is streetable, thats his old car

there are some badass SRT4's out there, throw a big intercooler, bigger turbo, header, little head work, 22-25psi, and a 75 shot, and you could be beyond the limits of the stock block

yeah adding nitrous to 20+psi on stock internals is really pushing it, unless your god at tuning and have your own dyno and such. and a better head gasket. after january(my annual 2 year smog crap) i will be going bigger turbo(since i wont have to worry for another 2 years), and upgrading from stock to a mitsu multi layer head gasket is a must, along with arp head studs and what not. ill prolly be going with the AGP RS60T.

Thats a crazy *** neon. Thats true. The guy I know doesn't use NOS on his SRT-4 by the way. if you can find one and have the money you should get a HKS VPC :leghump1:

nah just a mitsu multi layer metal heag gasket. i will only be at 20psi, but it will be pushing almost double the lbs/min than the evo i run now. the evo16g can do 35lbs/min, the agp rs60t 60lbs/min.

im starting the savings fund already.

20psi. 22 come race day with 100 octane.

its not the PSI that makes the power. its the airflow. with the AGP RS60T i could make as much power at 15psi as the evo16g at 20. plus its a totally different powerband. the evo16g spools very fast(especially with my manifold ported to match a ported evo16g) i hit full boost at 3200, and is a good street/strip turbo. i dont want that anymore, i want a highway killer, able to laugh at vettes and cobras, and the RS60T is just that. i want a turbo that spools around 4-4500(rs60t is ball bearing i believe) that just pulls to redline like a mofo. a good protion of dsmers use the 16g/550/190 combo, and i want to shy away from that. while its a very capible street turbo(the 16g), like all things boost, it just isnt enough anymore.

i want a turbo that i dont have to upgrade when, say, i get a 6bolt(1g motor that isnt prone to the infamous but largely overdramaticized crankwalk) and build it up for a healthy 30psi+nitrous. which is around the same time i call up TRE and have them build me a better tranny, cause the one i have aint gonna last long with the RS60T making close to 400hp.

plus its a turbonetics with a chrome housing and will look very purdy in my engine bay.

I know all of the above, I was just stating that the evo16g can run that boost easy. RS60T would be a nice choice, its a 60-1 /76trim Agpturbo.com has it on sale right now too which you probably already know. and you can probably pick up a nice well maintained 6bolt for about $800.

yeah i believe its 700 for the turbo, another 100 for internally gated. i dont know yet if i will go external. another guy in my club might get the RS60 internally gated, if he doesnt creep at 20 then i should be fine with internal.

i know a guy in texas that has a few lying around for 300, all were in working order before pulled for buschar 2.3 stroker longblocks. dam texans can do whatever they want to their cars, lucky bisches. i dont even think a 6bolt will pass visual in cali, which could suck.

^^yeah its a all out lightened fwd on slicks racecar with a 200 shot or something. he only uses the t25 to compress the air so it makes the nitrous that much more powerful.
