mozilla help.

I have had Firefox for a while on my old Dell laptop. Worked great and everything. I bought a new HP laptop and installed it on this one. However, it runs just like normal, except that the scrolling feature does not work with firefox on this computer. It did with the Dell.

The feature is where you put your finger on the touchpad and and scroll down using the right side of the touchpad. It works with IE, but not firefox. I went under the options tab and made sure the check was on for "Use autoscrolling" and "Use smooth scrolling." But neither makes it work.

Is there an addon or something that makes Mozilla compatable w/ HPs? I have a Pavilion 6005 if that matters.

where did you download it from?

i have mozilla firefox and it kicks ***. i got the free one off cnet if i'm not mistaken. i would try downloading it agian from that site.

i dont think it would matter what brand of computer you have but more of what operating system you have (XP, 98, etc.)

windows XP, and I downloaded it off of Mozilla.com. I have tried downloading it twice. Both times it didn't work. I miss Firefox as I had it for about 2yrs before this on my old XP Dell, and now I get this and it's not compatable. I use that scrolling thing for everything. So much easier than pressing PageUp/Down each time.

after you uninstall it go into the program files folder and delete the firefox folder. I had a problem with mine and i couldnt fix it till i did that. When you uninstall it it doensnt get rid of everything.
