check out my car club

its a work in progress. we are just kinda gettin started. and yes, there are some cars considered "rice" but the attitude of these drivers are VERY open-minded. its not like "ha, a mustang, dis v-tech can own joo." everyone is pretty cool and dey got sum pretty nice-lookin *****es so thats always a plus. my pic came out all ****ed up though, gotta get my friend to redo that.

tell me what you all think of it as of now (keep in mind it is a work in progress)

here are the links:

I had one UNDER MY SEAT and somehow a fat kid broke it.

I'd have made him buy me a new one, but he didn't look like he could afford it.

you win trophies by not having any competition, such as your car is not one people usually fix up so there are no others like it to compete with... go to a real car show and win some and you have done something.

I can go to local showns and own... but at a real show the only thing I would have going an abnormally clean car that is a daily driver.

its a little more than the "neon crap" that won shows for him. he has quite a few more mods than just that. stereo, 5 tv's (two in the trunk, one in dash, and one in each visor), ps2, bodykit, rims, and some engine mods. when a car is judged, they look at more than neons, my friend.

and also i have attended some of the car shows around here and they are not "lame" i will admit they are small, but not lame as you described it. sorry they lack the excitement of the ones where you are from.

which is why they have different classes. b/c i dont dump every single penny of my earnings into my car, i was in the conservative class which are mostly stock cars with no more than 7 mods TOTAL. i had an underbody kit (1), ps2 (2), tv (3), strobe light (4), white faced guages (5), and a stereo (6). so i had 6/7 mods. now since they cant look at all the bells and whistles, they pay more attention on how clean the car is. which is one of the major factors that led to my winning in the conservative class.

just a little fyi---when i won, there were 7 other mustangs in my class, not alot, but the one i entered in was small.

The baton rouge mustangers....costs $15 a year for membership. They are also affiliated with Mustang Club of America. I just haven't gotten around to joining yet.

I love how your talking to me like I know nothing about shows. I been to hundreds of show Paco

Well you'd think someone with a decent mods would post pics of something other then their lame neons

BTW local shows are lame unless its from a stereo shop other then that they are lame :yup:

yup, the correct way to do it is to have alot of classes, a whole lot of classes so every year span of car can compete with their year span and type. I was in a show not to long ago that had all cars and all trucks... I CAN NOT compete with an origional shelby gt 500... what a waste of 15 bucks.... either way they are fun to go to the shows. They judge your car on 5 areas usually, exterior, interior, under side, motor bay, and how stock or modified you are depending on your catagory. Small town shows generally dont do so well since their judges dont know all they should but they are still alot of fun.

I wanted to go to the big mustang show that was very close to here but I didnt get the chance

thats the 5 categories they judged my car in. and the classes were conservative, modified stock, and modified. from there, it was divided into domestic/import and obviously car type.

first, i addressed you like that b/c it sounded like you basically insulted the car club. i understand that everyone has different opinions, but instead of saying "not my style" or something like that, it came across like you were insulting me, my friends, and our car club

secondly, i agree with you, better pics should have been posted but like i said in my first post, the site is a work in progress

lastly, the show i entered in was sponsored by a stereo shop (mst car audio). it was small, but not lame. i saw some titties at that show, so its all good

Cars hows that have 150-200 cars or more tend to be the best, it takes about 40 classes also. I dont really belong to any "clubs" but I hang out with a bunch of people and their cars, or used to, most were mustangs but not all.
