Got Stuck in a Car Wash

so it was about 11 today and i just gassed up and was heading out to go to WalMart to get some velcro for my speaker box but before i did that i decided to go run my car through the brushless car wash at the gas station. so i go in and tell the woman i want a $4 car wash. she gives me my ticket with my number and i go to the automotive cleaning device. i punch in my number and drive inside. well, i have been in here before and i know that during the wash cycle it circles your car 4 times on a $4 car wash. well when it circled my car for the 12th time i was kinda like "what's goin on, hmm, oh well." i also noticed that there were two other cars behind me waiting to go in after me. after being in there for another 3 or so min with it still in the wash cycle, it shuts off. so i drive out and the gas station attendant apologizes for that and gives me a free $4 car wash.
i guess a person behind me went and alerted the gas station attendant on what was goin on.

doesnt even matter anyway b/c its raining now and its forecasted to rain at least till wednesday now.

I never ever let a machine wash my car, unless it's winter, and very cold.. just to get the road grim off

ha, so you are getting the storm we had yesterday. Once a week I run my Stang thru the brushless carwash only because the water around here is so full of minerals that if I washed it at home it's look like I poured milk on it.

Well, at some point, they have been forecasting rain for the last 2 weeks straight. All they keep doing is sliding the forecast until it happens. That, and they say that the air is so dry that the rain isn't making it to the ground. Funny, I thought 70+ % humidity meant the air was moist. Anyhow, I wouldn't trust the forecast. Odds are it will change by tomorrow. They can't predict anything beyond looking out the window. I think someone put a decimal out of place in the software they use.

you didnt know? thats how the weathermen predict the weather down here already.

i got that little forecast from the tv guide channel. as i was creating this thread, the four-day forecast came on. but like you said, it probably isnt that accurate.

when i think weather forecasts, i think tv guide

our weather guy is very accurate... he has this "3 degree guarantee".... so if he's within 3 degrees of the right temp. they give like $10 to some fund... and he's only missed 1 day so far, in like 4 months. he almost always hits the rain too. We get usually 2/3 of the snow he thinks we'll get... but he's not predicting our exact area.... so w/e

Well I spent all last week washing/ waxing/ detailing my car. Then drove a 6 hour round trip yesterday and it started raining last night, go figure.

I just looked in the bed of my friend's truck...it has 8 inches of standing water in it. That's just crazy.
