What car/truck should I get?

So if my car is totaled what should I get...keep in mind that my insurance isnt going to like another mustang or sports car for that matter . Not sure what to get, kinda leaning towards a toyota tacoma..very reliable. Has to be fairly cheap too...like under 8000.

car: obviously another stang

however, if you opt for a truck: 95-98 chevy full size (vortec 350 v8)
350's are one of the best engines chevy has ever made

nononono, dodges are so much better than chebbies. get a 5.9L Magnum for some good power. And if you are worried about the gas, the v6 Magnum is a very good engine as well.

i will give you this, a dodge with a good dual exhaust system sounds real badass, whether it be a 6 or an 8. i can say that a dodge v6 is probably one of the best sounding w/ a dual exhaust system. i had a friend with one and it just sounded awesome. i dont really know what kind he had though.

but as far as power goes, i can say that i am really not impressed with the 318 v8 by dodge. my dads friend has one and that thing doesnt have any v8 pep. i raced a single cab dak with a 318 v8 5-speed and stayed even with him until about 70 and at that time i started pulling on him. and that was a dakota with a v8. i really cant say anything about the 360 v8's though. i know that the r/t daks are pretty quick though and they have the 360's. i have heard though that the dodge 318 v8 is one of dodge's best v8 engines.

however, i would just go with the chevy 350. i know quite a few people with these and for trucks, those things are pretty quick and the guys have never complained about having any mechanical problems with them. except for one who has an a/c problem and a tranny problem, but overall, i think those are pretty solidy built trucks with good engines.

don't get a truck, you will wonder where the power went... tell your parents how well the Stang protected you in your last accident, and if you were in a truck, it may have rolled. My parents realize how bad the snow traction is, but they LOVE how safe it is.... protected me perfectly through beind hit by a semi, and going off the road at 45... walked away from both.... actually drove home from both.... so it's nice

lol, your parents are worried about a mustang in the snow, but not a truck? the truck will be 100x worse if its 2wd. get a mustang so you aren't kicking yourself until you do buy one.

Have you looked into AWD? All I have to say is STi!!!!!! Or be the second member on the boards with an evo.

If you can't afford that(prob not) then older WRX 2.5rs's are goign pretty cheap here in PA. Prob able to mod them too. Hell the Legacy is an ok car as well and gas aint too shabby either.

doesnt look like a bad deal.

2000 v6 model 5-speed, 50k miles, 4wd for 8500. i'd say it looks like a good deal.

thats the funny thing. i knew a girl that bought a diesel jetta the same time i bought my car. she got it b/c gas was rising and diesel wasnt that high. now diesel is more than supreme gas in some places

but in her defense, that car gets like 40mpg or something crazy like that.

Get a civic like brent has, you can make it mad fast (its that power to weight ratio thing mang) and it wont be very high on insurance.
