Question GTO or Supercharge GT??

I'm stuck here and i can't figure out what to do. if i should buy a new GTO with the 6.0 liter motor and eventually supercharge it, or supercharge my GT. even though the gto is really kinda bad looking in some aspects, that motor is awesome. so im torn and just wondering what you guys think.

http://www.caranddriver.com/article....rticle_id=8908

its my opinion that in the end i would supercharge the gt. the only bad thing about that is you lose a warranty. mustangs look better imo and its lighter than a gto.

3800lbs=gto

definately supercharge the GT

you can make the GT supercharged and spend less than the price of the GTO, and still spank it left and right.

Yep, a nice 6 lb KB setup would be a good start for you. Get that big block feel. Nothing wrong with the centri blowers either

A rolling chasis would be a better start then buying a GT-NO. It may have a nice engine, but it is a total discrace to the GTO. They have destroyed the honor of the Goat. And before you think about another big name, stay away from that other bastardized GM POS known as the charger. Another desicration.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmen.

Pontiac better redesign in 2006 because they are being lazy by just bringing a Holden car over and swapping in a corvette engine...

Why do you need aftermarket parts for a 400hp sedan. You leave it alone except for suspension upgrades

But I must say for this price iwould wait for a Shelby Cobra which I am probablygoing to get anyway.

Not a big fan of the car but that engine kicks ***. GM or actually Chevy engines are excellent. Why else did Ford have to supercharge the Cobra to beat the SS Camaro stock for stock. You just cant get the HP out of a NA 4.6 to beat a Chevy 5.7 no matter who hard you wish.

who cares how you get the power as long as you get it? either engine is a work of art really. A 281 ci engine that can handle 1000 hp or a 5.7 that shows impressive n/a numbers

next questions is...why not?

maybe someone wants a full exhaust, maybe someone wants headers, or a cold air intake, maybe not for power, but for sound, can they get it? no

what if they wanted to tighten up the suspension, lower it a bit, make it handle like the V8 SuperCars over in Australia, could they over here? no

you CAN go to STS and buy one of those remoted mount turbos for it though

Suspension will come. Exhaust is simple just go to a muffler shop and have them custom made. It is cheaper anyway so the answer for exhaust is YES.

Look how long it took for someone to come up with performance parts for the 3.8. Damn give it time!!!
