this car is down the street from me. though its not considered a muscle car, i just thought id share. my first car was a 74 mustangII, 2.3L I4 with the 3spd Auto. it was piss yellow. but i loved that car man, like no other. i drove by the above one and almost rear ended a old lady cause i couldnt stop looking at it, it was perfect. so came back and looked. aside from the ugly interior and auto, i wouldve traded my car for it right then and there. but it was 14000 and i was like "dammit". its at a place called "testosterone motors" where they dont sell anything that doesnt have a V8 or isnt faster than 13's. they have a couple LS1's and Vettes, along with a couple Auto 99+ GT's and a 03 Cobra for 25g's.

my favorite is a 70 Buick GS Stage2. cant find any pics though at the moment.

A whopping 200 hp @ 4000 rpm and 340 lb*ft of torque @ 2000 rpm
Road & Track 1981 turbo T/A test: 0-60 in 8.7 seconds, mile in 16.0 seconds

No, it's not the most powerful; no, it's not the most reliable; no, it's not the highest-revving... It's the 301T, Offered for only two years, 1980 and 1981, the 301 cubic inch turbo powerplant was, and is, generally looked down upon in the Trans Am world. People swap 'em for 400s like they're a virus;

But a 2.3 is a durable engine The 301 is a piece of *****. Why do you think Pontiac dumped it completely. You might like underdog engines but crappy piss poor designs only make good weights to use to throw your ex wife in the ocean

i wouldnt buy the car as a daily driver, or a performance car, it would be one of those cars id love to have, id love to cruise in every so often, id like to restore

theyre not really worth anything, but theyre unique, just like the Edsel, they were ugly, they flopped, but there are people who buy em, restore em, and love em

The TA was not ugly for the times and they were not a flop by any means. Just the 301 was a dud. The 6.6 TA was a oldsmobile 403 station wagon motor that was a torque monster but was mildly cammed and was not especially easy to mod since there were no real performance parts for it. That is why Pontiac decided in the 3rd generation to put chevy engines in them

i dont mean that the TA was ugly or a flop, im just relating it to the Edsel, basically saying that they had their faults, but theyre still loved
