Exclamation Hp question

A guy at my church is really annoying with his ricer car. Okay it is a newer honda Prelude( i cant spell i know) He has cat back exhaust with no cat. A cold air intake and aftermarket headers and the V-tec controller and stage 2 clutch and flywheel but i think isnt working right. How much hp do u think he makes and could i beat him at the track. I have an auto 03 v6 mustang with cold air intake and 50 series dual flowmasters. Thanks

stock prelude (newest body style one) vs. stock v6 stang = very close, i'd say driver's race...considering the mods, i'd say he could take you for sure. my friend had a 2000 prelude 5spd that i drove and it was quick, my car vs his car was simply decided by who had better shifts. He just totaled it though, but he got more than he paid for the car from the insurance company

You have a 03 with 193BHP you can add 3 to 7 HP max for the CAI and exhaust so you are near 200 BHP being you are a auto and he is a standard and you are giving up more than 500 lbs on him and he is at 200 HP stock. He will beat you unless he sucks at driving

The preulde is a standard and the stang is a auto. Only if the prelude driver sux at shifting will he lose. That is a fact

only way to know is to go, but he should win... your car runs 16.0s~ stock so... he should definatly be faster.

shifting faster would make it a little closer, but its not gonna make you win. if you want to win you need more hp/tq, plain and simple. you have more tq, but hes got just as much hp as you and he's lighter than you. lighter = advantage up top. if you are serious about winning though, i would get gears (prob 4.10's), t-loc, cai, udp, duals, chip.

this will be enough to at least stick with him if not win.

Preludes are nice little cars for being fwd and a Honda. I could be completely wrong but wouldn't headers on that car do next to nothing? I would just presume that the air would flow through the stock headers just fine, even with intake.

they run at least a half second better or more so it would take more than a couple bolt ons.

gears, CAI, UDP, SCTChip and chunk all the extra weight out of the car it would be a race. He has a big weight advantage
