i think they've been out of original ideas for a while. half the new movies that come out are just not worth my time or money. i wouldnt even copy some dvd's that are out now, b/c they arent worth the $1(sometimes less) blank dvd's i buy

but they have to satisfy all people's taste in movies so movies that i think are garbage, others may love.......... :dunno:

you forgot about war of the worlds too. There have been a few good movies lately that are new ideas, but mostly they seem to be at a lack of good movies.

Some of those just need to be made though, like War of the Worlds. If that is done right, it's gonna kick ***.

But I agree, movies for the most part suck.

Sin City, altho based on graphic novels, was amazing, and I can't wait for the sequals. Best movie I have seen in a while. Not just because the story kicks *** (they stay insanely word for word from the novels) but the directing and filmwork from Rober Rodriguez is amazing. Mr. and Mrs. Smith was pretty good. But I agree, there is a lack of originality out there. However, I am sad to say, I will probably see most of these "remake" movies, I just love seeing movies.

Batman begins was an awsome movie though.

Action scenes were kinda.. chaotic though.

You have to remember new special effects make new movies. You think watching Dukes of Hazard new is identical to the old show?

Plus, think of the marketing. A new movie comes out and has the younger generation's stars, that rekindles intrest in the old show. Marketing, and that sells and makes more money

Plus, who cares if hollywood is out of ideas for now.... they are still making a ton of money each movie. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

they figure that people that saw the original movies are dead, and young people are stupid and dont remember anything before the age of 10

there are quite a bit of remake movies I like. kinda updates it with the special effects of today and stuff. Kind of like Dawn of the Dead. I just loved it. Im wanting to go see Land of the Dead. War of the Worlds looks badass.

I just want them to rerelease Top Gun in theaters again. Even if it is just for a week. That is my favorite movie. The whole reason im in the military. And I have always wanted to see it in theater.

nate call me next time you go. Been awhile since ive been to the theater

i saw batman begins saturday afternoon. it was great. the best batman movie ever. the dude that played jonathon crane was ****in creepy! christian bale was the perfect bruce wayne/batman, and katie holmes, as always, was ****ing hot! oh yea... qui-gon jinn was good in it too lol

basically it was the way batman should be. no superpowers. just high tech gadgets mixed with psychological warfare and potent villains. up close and personal combat

i loved it

Actually they are redoing older movies and simply because the motion picture business is in the worse slump since they started keeping records of the number of people and the amount of money a movie takes in. So to save money the studios are making movies of scripts they already own. It is safe and cheap gamble. A recent poll showed most Americans prefer to watch movies at home. The fact is the exaggerated paychecks of the actors and the cost of making movies has started a backlash at the theaters along with the cost of the tickets and refreshments makes a family night out at movie insane. I can wait a couple of months and watch the movie on my home for $4.00 and stop it to go to the bathroom or get more refreshments and keep the movie for a week.

well, in the original, it was jack napier aka the joker that killed his parents, in this one it wasn't. so maybe they'll do a whole new set
