need tech help with my integra

I know it might not belong in here, but I dont know where else to post it, but anyway, here we go...

So im drivin it down the road today, was runnin perfect. I was cruisin at like 35mph in 3rd gear, barely hittin the gas, and in the blink of an eye, the engine loses all power and the check engine light comes on. Now the car barely idles, refuses to rev over 3 grand, and won't really move unless you let the clutch out fast at like 2 grand. In the dark, I checked quick stuff like loose vaccume hoses and plug wires but everything seems ok... Any suggestions?

yea its a 1990. They should be able to check the code dont ya think? But aside from just saying go to autozone, any ideas before I go there? The nearest autozone is like 20 minutes away and im gonna have to limp the car there the whole way. I'd rather not drive it.

*cough*its a honda*cough*

i think though on those cars the ecu blinks a certain number of times for a given code. thats how my buddies crx was when we did the mpfi swap. find the ecu and turn the key and count the blinks, then use a chiltons/haynes and look up the code.

maybe its time for a swap.

.
In my car, if you turn the ignition one click and then quickly press and depress the accelerator five times, the c.e.l. will blink you a four digit code that you can then look up in the bentley manual. You might want to find out if your car has something similar.

not around here. if they have the cartridge and harness for the car they will read them, granted they only do it for some cars.
