| new track time...
if I didn't run a new best then I was gonna probably drive the car into a lake!
But anyway, I was happy with the results. I figure the car is good for mid 12s with good air so I was hoping for 12.7 or so today in 90 degree heat
my best run was:
12.656 @ 113.61
This was with a crappy 60' of 1.975 so there is a LOT more there. heck, I think a good launch with slicks on a cooler day would have me knocking on 11s
Anyway, my previous best without the blower was 13.7 @ 100, so that's over a second improvement and almost 14 mph gained.
I went through 5 or 6 bags of ice out there

a whole lot. cooler air is denser, and especially helps on forced induction.
ill put it to you this way. a buddy of mine starts out running his GSX at around 4:00. hell net mid to low 13's. as the night goes on, the cooler air comes in and each run he sees around 2 tenths faster, just cause of the cooler air helping keep his timing up(since hes not heatsoaking as much) and cooler air is just more dense(more air, more power).

thats a very nice time dude. What kind of tires are you running on there? What do you launch at? What kind of a blower and psi are you running?
I personally have a NA 5.0, Mickey Thompson ET streets, timing at 24º advanced and race fuel and I hit a 12.78 @ 106mph. This was in fall though, the air was pretty dense.

I love your wheels, black face and polished lip. Very hot. my friend has a 2002 with those same wheels, but his car is silver and he has a kenny bell supercharger at 10psi.

I've got BFG drag radials. I was running the tire pressure too high most of the day, once I dropped it to 15 psi the car bogged off the line at 4K
I think I'm not giving it enough gas when I engage the clutch though. that's causing the bog. I'll practice some more in a couple weeks on an 1/8 mile track
