#14 | | | im still suprised we dont see many other tt v6 around but a handful.
i know if i had gotten one and seen the extreme v6 turbo site whatever, id save like 6g's all at once then get shit done. 4.2 forged roataing assembly, twin 20g turbos and sneaky pete nitrous to aide spool.
i dont know if i can live without bewst now.
and now the link works for me. strange. badass car none the less. |

#16 | | | i have a almost strange ability to save up money if its for cars. i could save up that much in maybe 3 months if i just payed bills and nothing else and worked all the closing shifts and made really good tips(like ive been doing lately so i can pay off the laptop/dsmlink).
last time i modded my car it was almost free, i sued the bitch who rear ended me for pain and suffering, got my chiro to make the bill around 5g's(when in reality it was only 1) but settled the suit at 2500 bucks, making them think they got away easy. which im sure they knew i was trying to jip them, but fuck it, as soon as the big box with my 05's setup came in, i didnt care, it was free. |

#17 | | | single turbos are better and cheaper on the v6, most go single turbos instead of twin for cost and they performe better. |

#18 | | | singles perform better? How do ya figure? |
| |
07-15-2005, 01:10 PM
|
#19 | | | they get you from point a to point b faster some times, not all the time, but usually... you see those mustangs running super low times ... they have single and matts single turbo v6 is the fastest v6 mustang to date. |

#20 | | | I know of a pretty god damn fast twin turbo Cobra tho :o I don't think it could reach those times with a single.. |
| |
07-15-2005, 06:25 PM
|
#21 | | | lol people swap their twin turbo setups on their supras every day so they can run a single turbo and go faster two is not always better than one. |
| |
07-15-2005, 06:31 PM
|
#22 | | | The only reason to really run a tt setup is if there is not enough room in the engine bay to run a single big turbo. On vehicles such as the viper...and v10 mustang... |

To get facts involved, a properly setup TT setup will make the same power as a single. And actually, in some cases, will make more. Two big turbos will make a lot more power than a single turbo...
Check out most other mustang turbo kits produced by a company...the singles produce about half the power of the twin kits. |

#25 | | | but its not always about the most power output, its when and where it makes it and all that other wonderful stuff that comes into play. |

#26 | | | also remember, Matts is a 4.2L, he has more displacement to spin a larger turbo, if i remember correctly, Justins in a 3.8L, so a pair of smaller turbo's will spool faster than a larger single generally speaking
a lot also has to do with how much air you plan on flowing, if youre running a high boost application, a large, single turbo generally works better, because it will flow the air needed without creating at much heat as a pair of smaller turbos will, but if youre in a relatively low boost application, a pair of smaller turbos would work better because they would be in their efficiency range
similar to how guys can run 9's and 10's on a pair of .63 A/R T3's on a built up 5.0, and guys run 9's and 10's on a rather stock 5.0 with a large T76, since the less modded, all about efficiency |
