| I have a HUGE dilemma
Ok, so Im power hungry now... being that I just sold my car I could do one of the following things. Give the money to my dad to pay off the car I just bought... well, not pay it off, but work towards it.. ORRRRRR, I could get crazy and buy myself the kenne bell blower Im in love with and then just take a couple extra years to pay my car off. Im really leaning towards the blower, it sounds like a ****ing blast, and Id really enjoy it... what do you all think I should do? Im looking towards a roots style blower, since im not planning to go to the track a lot, im looking more for a street blower and the KB is exactly what that is. Not to mention, the blower Id get saw 135hp increase on a stock 5.0 with that blower, and considering Im not stock, who knows what kind of power itll make. Anyway, tell me what you guys would do....

id pay the car off
i hate to think like this, but if something happens to your car, not only are you at a loss because you just invested money in it, but youd also be in debt with your dad

I dunno, when my stereo equipment got stolen they covered all that, and its money I invested into the car. I got about 800 bucks worht of stereo equipment back for my 100 dollar deductible.

I had none of my modifications covered.. I lost about $2k on those after stereo equipment, lost CDs, all the mods.. and they gave me the runaround when I went to buy the car back

hate to agree with everyone else, but if you blow up the engine, I doubt the insurance will cover that... plus, then you don't have "payments".

You are not suggesting insuring a motor with a blower on it???? If you walk into a insurance company and try to insure a engine with a blower they are going to rape you!!! You will have to go to someone like loyds of london to insure a motor from blowing.

the only thing is, i wont have another 3.5 grand lying around in a lump sum for a very long time... and if i were to get a loan for something like that, id have interest. Thats why im thinking since i have no interest, its better to just do it now

when i owed my parents for my car i just handed them my paycheck at the end of every week until i was done..mostly because i just wanted to not have to worry about that..
if your dad doesn't mind if you spend the money on the blower and waiting on his money, and it isn't bothering you having that over your head..i'd probly get the kb, but if it does burden you at all, i'd just pay it off

The thing is, it's obviously more prudent to pay off your loans first. But if you pay off your loans you may never get a blower because anytime you save up a smaller lump you'll get something smaller with it. Say for example you decided to save for a blower but then you saved some money and got tired of waiting so you bought cams instead and had to start saving all over again. Talk it over with your dad, let him make the decision. After all, it's kinda his money.

i would have to say pay off your debt, but if your dad is chill about it and isnt bugging you for the cash, and he wont mind if you put a blower on with the cash- i know my dad would be pissed and prolly make me sell the blower and pull back the loan- than i guess go for it. but other wise just save up for the blower but i understand the part about not having 3.5k for a long time.

pay it off or whatever.
cause if in case you SC it, then blow it up, you have no transportation, prolly not enough money to fix it, and youll still be making payments on a car you cant drive.
right now its powerful but still very reliable. add forced induction to that combination of what you already have, and who knows how good itll be come 6 months from now after ripping on it.

Maybe you should give your dad half the money and put the other half in savings for the blower (or 2/3's to the blower )

pay the car down... if you get the blower you risk blowing the motor... then your back at square one... no money no car... and a payment to make.

I'd pay your dad, but why do you want a KB. Most people put centrifugals on 5.0s.....
