Anybody read Angels and Demons?

I just got done, incredible book. I'm gonna start on The Da Vinci Code very soon.

Dan Brown is one of the most educated authors I've ever read. Even more educated than Tom Clancy I'd say...

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

read both of them. I liked A&D more, but di vinci code is awesome too.

I have read another book called The Digital Fortress by Brown too. Same style of writing and same break-neck speed suspense.

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

It's pretty hard to explain bluemustang, it's about religion and symbolism and cults. It doesn't try to convince you of anything at all, which I liked, but it's amazing. Dan Brown does his research, that is for certain.

Yeah, when I get done with The Da Vinci Code, which should be about tomorrow, I'm going to get started on Digital Fortress and Deception Point.

Read? Yuk. If it doesn't have VB, C#, C++, Java, PHP, or any other language, or Mustang in the title, odds are I haven't read it. I did start Lord of the Rings last year about this time tho, but I still haven't finished it. I am almost to ROTK I think, if I Remember right.

I love to read. I haven't had much time for it though since college started. It only took me about a day to finish this one.

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

Digital Fortress is pretty good. Not as good as Da Vinci Code or A&D, but it is good nonetheless. I wanna go pick up Deception Point. One of the other 3 books had a small preview of Deception Point. Looks prett sweet.

I am about to start reading Deception Point as soon as I am done with Tin Man by the other Brown, Dale Brown, one of my faves. If you like high tech military fiction, check him out.

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

I hear that Deception Point is the weakest of his novels, but dunno yet.

I have DVC now, I'll let you guys know what I think about it soon.

So far, from what I hear, A&D is the best he's done yet.

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

Just remember that Dan Brown writes fiction. He intertwines enough fact to confuse people, but his books are still fiction.

There is no supercollider 18 stories underground nor could there be.

There are no descendants of Jesus

There is no codebraking computer that reads everyone email.

Dan Brown is an excellent author, just don't let him become your messiah.

i was just giving you a hard time. However, there are decendents of Jesus. Jesus did have siblings, so there are people in Jesus' blood line.

I don't want to argue religion or politics. You want to do that make your own thread.

I simply wanted to bring an incredible book to the attention of people who may care.

Re: Anybody read Angels and Demons?

i believe jesus was married also. the law at the time REQUIRED jewish rabbi's to be married. to not be married and thus not procreate was a "sin"

Well, considering the Jesus wasn't a Jewish Rabbi, and that the Bible never says anything about Him being married, I would have to say your beliefe is, unfortunately, misguided. I am not going to get into this any further.

hahahah that right there is why religion sucks. Theres like 3 differ versions of "belief" being said and none of you can agree. Its great but thats all im gonna say on that one.

You said this like he doesn't have a short forward to say the same thing in his book... He has a small part at the very beginning that says that all the parts of the book, including places, groups, etc, are real, but the story is fake.
