large amounts of w00tage

yup im back to my roots(first car was 74 mustangII), and it feels dam good.

its a 2002 GT, 5spd. the only bad part was 70k on it, but after not ever seeing a black on black for sale, i had to get it, my favorite combo.

the final amount they raped me for was 16,000. but that will be lower once i get a better loan through my bank.

there are only 2 things wrong, the drivers side window makes weird loud noise when its lowered, but i can deal with that, seeing that at least they work, the dsm's pass window wont go up without help. then theres this other problem. when i looked at the car, i had it on, turned the a/c on and off, it blew cold and ran fine. then i get home and my dad turns the a/c on and the car dies. so i dont know, worked fine at the lot. not really a big deal

some quick pics...........

god youre such an ***.

if youre talking about the red hood insert, thats going as soon as billet inserts come in, though ill prolly take that red one out and spray it black for the time being, i think it looks stupid as hell.

plans for the car are black and chrome. roush side exhaust, chrome bullitts(deep dish 10.5 out back), billet interior stuff. performance mods planned will just be 4.1/tloc, intake, exhaust, and prolly a sct tuner.

if any of that is rice to you..................

Re: large amounts of w00tage

man that thing looks hella higher than mine did stock. maybe cuz its newer?

can't say i'm too fond of chrome bullitts, and if you plan to race it you're gonna need to balance out chrome 10.5's with some major power. also, byebye gas mileage

but yes congrats. GT-envy on my part.

Re: large amounts of w00tage

congrats, looks good. I think he means 16k is with interest, 16k in total payments mean the sticker might have been 12k.

you have no idea. the dsm feels all cramped, the only thing good is on the dsm, the shifter is like perfectly where you want it, but the stangs is up a few inches, but ill fix that with a better shifter, or maybe ill make my arms longer.

they did want 17,5 for it, but i told them 15 cash, but then i got ancy and asked them to see how good of a deal i could get myself if i went through their credit unions over my bank. i gotta go back there today, cause i couldnt make the 500 down last night(since they dont take atm or credit and i can only pull out 300 at a time from a atm).

gt's already have t-loc? sweet, cause i havent really tried a burnout yet, still not used to driving the car. everyone says 4.1's are too short, but from hearing about guys with 4.1's they wish they went 4.5's. i just want it to be a fun daily driver that looks good, i already had a pretty modded street/strip car(that never saw the strip lol) so im kinda done with that. just boltons and **** to the stang for now, make it really nice.

BTW brent needs to rename me to "StangGTguy"

Re: large amounts of w00tage

nope but i have beaten other fwd dsm's that ran low 13's, so that kinda gives me an idea. if i had some slicks and/or LSD, its a definate mid to high 12 second car. but how it is now, id say mid to low 13's. of course being fwd, its more of a "from a roll" kinda racer, so i was never too big into getting track times, since they will suck for fwd no matter what.
