Re: owned by mustang tuning headlights

between the cracks where the clear lens and the housing meet. there should be clips or something that look like they secure the lens to the housing(though they dont do much since the lens is basically glued to the housing).

Re: owned by mustang tuning headlights

No it keeps water from moving past the light into the wiring. you can also drill a smallish hole in the bottom to let exess water run out.

Re: owned by mustang tuning headlights

The reason why they are leaking and why they are sold for so cheap is because they are the OEM headlights that were just cracked open and had the amber reflector ripped out.

A friend of mine in a car club I belong to also purchased a set of these headlights and upon further inspection of them when he complained of "fogging" and "leaking" we saw where the seal was broken and actually saw a few "specs" or "pixels" of amber left over.

I've always been a big supporter of MustangTuning and their free shipping and quality products, but they really need to put up a disclaimer about the clear-corner headlights that they are selling. They are creating "clear-corners" by a simple process that you could probably do in your own driveway. Thumbs down to them on this one

Re: owned by mustang tuning headlights

Umm.... It won't leave "flecks" or "specs" or "pixels" of the amber when you remove the amber...

I just took mine out of my headlights, and it comes out in one solid piece.

Re: owned by mustang tuning headlights

I dunno. They all leak. My OEM headlight leaked and my passenger side headlight now leaks.
