Re: HONDAS

It's a case of the small penis.

My buddy drives a Honda and he was joking about how Mustang, Camaro and other Domestic guys get together and support each other, but Honda owners always try and race other Honda owners and try and put them down.

I've driven around with him and he'll yell out the window at just an average Acura "Your ****s weak!" for really no random reason, he's just been around it so long.

Then again sometimes these guys hope they can beat a Mustang and for whatever reasons it happens and so these guys can go brag to all their friends how they beat a Mustang.

Re: HONDAS

All mustang owners are mature, smart, upstanding citizens. All honda owners are small penis teenagers with a low IQ and slow, ****ty car.

Wait, no, a quick glance over the entirety of ME.com shows that there are plenty of moronic and immature mustang owners that street race and run here to talk about how awesome they are.

Re: HONDAS

i think there are a lot of people out there just trying to prove something.

there are a ton of ricers in dc. TERRIBAD ricers. im talking about the ones that buy late 1980 early 1990 hondas, spray paint them, throw on a giant spoiler and think they're too fast too furious.

dc has some nice *** cars so these people stick out like sore thumbs. they drive like maniacs. these people even try to race me sometimes - and im just in a commuter car. im pretty sure its because they just want some recognition. some respect. the sad part is, i bet i could still beat half of them with my whopping 150hp.

Re: HONDAS

We owned a STOCK 02 Civic purely for a gas saving commuter car! Almost every time we stopped at a red light we had a hero in a Honda trying to start something with us even tho we had a car seat in the back! WTF The main reason we sold it for a Legacy!

Re: HONDAS

I drive a 10 year old stock *** Acura, and my gf gets more street race attempts in her 2009 Corolla.

I don't think there's really any correlation anywhere. When I had a clearly modded Mustang, I had a few more people try to race me, but it was pretty even across the board as far as domestic vs import.

Reminds me of the local Tuner scene, who are actually pretty cool people and pretty good with cars - basically not that "my Honda is 2 fast furious" ****.

But I remember I was at one of their meets, and some kids were racing around and one of the admins for their forum yells out "You ****s weak! My turbo TC runs 14's!"

I had to hold my self from pissing.

Me either...

However, when driving the fox I get a lot of mustang owners trying to get me to race. I guess they think it's a 5.0 or something since it is a 4 banger running off the cats only with no muffler. lol

Re: HONDAS

Through my experience it all depends on the person. There are just as many dumbasses up here in their mustangs and firebirds who want to race at every stop light as there are in hondas and scions. Those are the ones who watched "fast and the furious" one too many times.

It always seems to be the guys driving v6 firebirds and mustangs that are idiots. It's like they got something to prove, that their v6 mustang or firebird is faster than my car. (they probably don't know its a six, it looks like a GT)

I remember the Automotion Car Show up in the Wisconsin Dells this past summer. All the old school muscle cars will be leaving after the show, and every once in a while some ricer teen will try and race a chevelle or mustang or old mopar...and just get pounded. Funny as hell to watch these 50 year old guys laughing as they toast these dumbasses and their vtecs.

I think you're right. It's kinda like when I'm driving my dad's 1970 Stingray 454. I ain't got **** to prove in that beast, and you won't catch me 1 mph over the speed limit either, haha.

Re: HONDAS

you are correct, its not just one type of car that is full of ****** bags, its the generation (based on age) that do this. And... what type of car are they most able to afford and their parents are more willing to let them buy a 4 banger honda lol

Re: HONDAS

Last summer I had my dads 71 Roadrunner with a 383. There I was minding my business at a red light, when out of nowhere I heard the dreaded noise the ever so powerful Accord with a fart can complete with blue smoke belching out the 5" exhaust. This kid was giving me the mean face while he reved his engine at me. My fiancé and I almost pissed our pants laughing at the kid! The light turned and having nothing to prove I took off normally. About a month later I see the kid at a local car show and asked what the hell he was thinking, he said he was "just fooling around" Then his girlfriend spoke up and said that he really wanted to race me. The look on the kids face was Priceless!

Yah, or what their parents buy them and they don't take care of it or give a ****. I remember when I first bought the mustang back in 05 when I was a sophomore. I couldn't drive it until my junior year when I turned 16. That sucked so much having to stare at it for 4 months.

This kid a grade higher than me had a 94 v8 thunderbird that his parent's bought him. He'd always rag on me about racing him and that I didn't know how to drive the mustang, and if he had it, and all this b.s. I didn't want to beat the hell out of it and tear it up...I saved up for 6 years to buy the damn thing. He never took care of the t-bird, never washed it, was always burning out and beating on it.

Some people just don't appreciate the stuff they're given or care to actually take care of their things.

I know a lot of people have said 'plenty of immature street racers in mustangs, yada yada yada'

What about at the TRACK?

I was pulling the headlight out of the buick at the track, SC in plain sight - A kid walks up to me and tells me I have balls bringing a buick to the track. Mind you he had a Civic hatchback with full body kit (the one with 4 holes for exhaust in the back) a huge roof mounted spoiler, riiimmmzz and dual fart cannons (for all 4 holes??) I asked him how his economy car ran, he didn't tell me his times, just that 'its fast, man'

He was about 4 cars ahead of me in the next staging lane over so I didn't figure I'd run him but somehow ended up next to him, he lost by about 2 full seconds to my BUICK if only I'd been running 12s at the time, it would have been more epic

I didn't see him pull back into the staging lanes after that

As far as people attempting to start crap on the street.. There was a very noticeable difference between when I would drive the buick and when I would drive the stang..
